Dad found these wooden shutters on ebay - they are from an old Katoomba coach house, accommodation for convicts who helped build the road between Sydney and Bathurst many years ago, according to the fella in Lithgow who sold them to us.
They are lovely, old and tattered but beautiful.
I don't convey it well, but Singapore is all about bright colors. These graduated rainbow-hued shutters covered both sides of this building.

my experiment, I try to use shutter speed "B" on a day time.
and my hand too close for sharpen focus.
Screencap from a new TV spot. I guess Scorsese has pulled another classic shot in this film. This here is like the Aronofsky camera, where it's attached to the actor, much like the shot in The Lovely Bones that I posted of Tucci running.
This was a brilliant move for Scorsese to employ this shot for this scene; it's a pivotal scene---I won't spoil it. But the shot works, that's all I'll say. Scorsese is a friggin' master.
