Mask-shutter voice control module v3.
First try to drive the voice-coil.
Multiple states (4) are possible.
This has not been tested!
If you drive both fets the coil is shorted, this should slow down the rotary arm and help to decelerate. R11 and R12 limit inrush current. R13 and R14 determine the quiescent current. C1 and C2 determine the peak current, so the acceleration when switching the direction. I hope not to have made design error. Soon it will be tested whether it can work properly. The control is done by the FPGA module. Some R and C values can change after the tests. The PCB is now in design.
Update:
Replaced with v3.

Yesterday (March 11, 2011, Friday),
me, Murtada and Abdullah Al Rasheed went to a
(JUNGLE غابة ) in Makkah for shooting some wild and MACROs.
We parked our car and walked like 2 KM inside the jungle.
Did you know that there's a jungle in Makkah?
well, here it is (LOCATION) :
maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&hq&hnear=Mecca%2C+Makkah...
Cautions:
1 - Don't try to go there ALONE.
2 - You should be there at 10 AM.
3 - Take enough foods and water with you.
4 - Take Tissues, Sandals, plasters and some tools.
5 - You must be out of the JUNGLE before 4 PM. Hungry dogs come out after SUNSET
6 - Be in GROUP and don't try to be SMART.
7 - Take above 6 points Seriously.
Spent a few days in New Orleans. I'm sure practically every photographer who visits this crazy place comes away with dozens of pictures of windows and shutters and doors. Sorry to say, I fell victim to the same. It's just that at every step these crazy colors and hues and shapes and contrasts scream out to have their picture taken. It is a potpourri of portals! I'll spare friends and viewers the monotony of it all and only post two...
There I was doing another time-lapse particularly for killing time...I wanted to get a straight shot but thought to do something different and kinda like the angle my tripod was at.....The picture reminds me of the thriller Shutter Island....looks like the misty ocean leading to a mysterious place far away....
Taken with the 'ol Opteka 15mm. Actually a blend of two pictures, taken at different shutter speeds.
Compur shutter repair
Part h on the left has broken in the shutter on the right.
thats why its not even cocking and the shutter release does nothing at all,
It looks beyond repair unless i can get the exact same piece or assembly from somewhere.
You get these old shutters off the main camera body by unscrewing the lens and/or lens ring at the back and then it should drop out.
So, i made this over different days. First day trying to get the shutter okay. But here i started to disassemble the shutter. One piece at a time. I always take pictures, because sometimes when i am putting it all together, there a spring making trouble.
look at this little fellow in the other pictures. If not correct, it can't push the lever up so the lightmeter works. No lightmeter, no auto exposure - no auto - no magic!
Day 15 blue
365 days in colour. I've had my eye on these shutters and today I've managed to get a picture of them. Blue skies reflected in the gaps. Today is St Swithun' s Day today and it hasn't rained - yet. According to tradition what ever the weather is on this day so will it be for the next 40 days.
St Swithun's day if thou dost rain
For forty days it will remain
St Swithun's day if thou be fair
For forty days 'twill rain nae mare
A Buckinghamshire variation has
If on St Swithun's day it really pours
You're better off to stay indoors.
Just got a new slinky soft shutter release for the Olympus Trip 35... I'm thinking it's looking sweet in red too
When my wife was bathing my son in the kitchen, I saw how the window light was hitting Kento. I walked to the room, grabbed my camera. Despite knowing that my camera doesn't perform well at high ISO – I pushed it to the max (only 1600 on the Olympus E-520) – in order to get the fastest shutter speed possible (Kento does everything but sitting still!). A split second before I fired my camera, Kento poked his tongue – something he had never done before. Recognizing the lighting situation, the swift response to get my camera, pushing the camera to its limits and Kento giving me this expression, make it my best shot of 2013.
Btw, we used to spike his hair for fun while bathing him. That wasn't staged for the photo.
