Over the last year I have collected shells from a shore line here in Adelaide. I got to the beach to remember my mother. When I began this collection, I realised I wanted to display them rather than put in a box. My idea of having some box frames eventually developed in these final products.
I believe these are shells from cicadas. They are just hollow shells, but they still look like bugs.
Using the new A700, sony 18-70 lens, loads of small shells packed onto this beach.

These shells in the new Antique Engravings clear stamp set (CL383) are perfect for gift wrap and more manly cards. I have stamped some parcel paper with various shells and Vintage photo ink. The tag has then been distressed with antique linen and tea dye inks and overstaped with antique linen to give a soft shell background, the sentiment from the new clear Essential Messages set (CL371) has been stamped on the tag with vintage photo ink

The Shell Project - Originally started as an exercise to test some of the features of my new Casio point and shoot camera but turned into an extended study of a single abalone shell. The series shows the results of photographing that shell at different focusing modes and lighting conditions.
It's horrible to have to use up leave before the end of the leave year. So with a long weekend, I had to at least go outside and make myself have some fun. Fortunately the camera was willing to accompany me.
