Shells & coral collected on the beaches of Savusavu, Fiji (FJI). #savusavu #fiji

Yesterday we went to Sandspit Point, Bellambi, a beach which we had never visited before.

I was intrigued by the cylindrical object in the middle. It was a cluster of shell fragments.

We are a family-run business dedicated to providing high quality, unique and handmade designs.

Quality - We take this commitment seriously. All of our pieces reflect careful handcraftsmanship with attention to details, quality materials, sourced from moral and ethical companies. We do not sell products made from sweatshops or with beads known to be made in conflict areas. We ensure a superior product by doing the research on our materials and crafting our finished products ourselves.

Unique - Our items are all unique - no two designs are ever the same. While this means that you'll never see the same necklace anywhere else, it also means that once an item is sold it's gone.

Handmade - Our commitment to handcrafted designs runs deep. The giver of a handmade gift has the satisfaction of knowing that s/he has directly supported an artist, not a large-scale corporate manufacturer. The gift recipient receives something that hasn't been mass produced. Rather than being stamped out of a machine thousands of times per hour, a real person is making a living off of their careful craftsmanship and this attention to detail shows.

Thanks for shopping handmade!

I've seen these many times - tiny shell covered huts in Grosvenor gardens, close to Victoria station. This morning they looked lovely in the sunshine.

The link below shares lots of information about them, they were built in 1952, and were designed by the then architect-in-chief of the National Monuments and Palaces of France, Jean Moreux.

Most of the shells are still attached - but if you look closely, there are a handful of gaps.

The Shell Collection, which is specially designed for FueraDentro by the dutch designer Jan des Bouvrie, consists of two chairs, a bank sofa, four tables and a sunbed. The fibers of the chairs, sofa and sunbed are made of Batyline and the frames are made of stainless steel. This combination of materials makes the SHELL collection ideal for outdoor use.

The most notable characteristics of the SHELL collection is the rounded shape of the shelllike bucket seat, which brings a stunning sense of shelter. The seatings are carried out in a coaxial structured Batyline® fibre. The frames are made of electro-polished stainless steel and the tabletops are glass.

Shell Island, also known as Mochras, is a peninsula lying west of Llanbedr in Gwynedd, Wales. It was formed after the River Artro was diverted by the Earl of Winchelsey in 1819 from its previous course where it entered the sea to the south of Shell Island. Prior to this, access to the ancient settlement on the island would have been through the village of Llandanwg, which is now across the estuary.

The perfect size for change, small keepsakes, dice, and more. Also due to a wonderful coincidence it's dimensions are ideal for the new 6th generation iPod nano. Made of hemp cord, sea shells, and a real arrowhead.

I don't know what the shell in the middle is but the other ones around are Pauas. The interior of these shells is really nice, I might try posting a pic about that soon.
