I went to Kisarazu for shellfish gathering. The Golden Week is a good season for it around Chiba. I got 2kg of clams and ate them all as sake-steamed and miso soup. It was so tasty. Each clam has different colour and pattern. I think this is interesting.

Dublin Bay prawns with a light sauce, fresh corn and a crisp apparently made of algae.

Tiny crabs like these cover the sand at this remote, little getaway. Only 1-2", they dart into small holes dotting the entire shoreline surface to escape predation AND cameras!

Much of the beach was covered with shellfish like these, alive, about 4 inches wide, waiting for the tide to come back in.
