not the most complimentary photo but seeing it's history thought I post it. Also the first good camera I purchased after having "struggled" with the Beirette and the Zenith. The Nikkormat FT2 is (still) an amazing machine in this plastic age

I have been wanting to do something like this for a long time and finally got around to it :D
I guess it's inspired by the Bentusi mothership of the original Homeworld game and the Slug Cruiser of FTL: Faster than Light.
- Which are both games you should go play if you haven't! :O
I have been working on it for several full days now, and I'm still not entirely happy with the result (I blame brick shortage).
It uses extensive use of snot-techniques with studs on both top and bottom side (although the top is a lot nicer).
Despite this, it's quite sturdy (apart from the antenna)
What do you think?

Bodega Bay is a shallow, rocky inlet of the Pacific Ocean on the coast of northern California in the United States. It is approximately 5 mi across and is located approximately 40 mi northwest of San Francisco and 20 mi west of Santa Rosa. The bay straddles the boundary between Sonoma County to the north and Marin County to the south. The bay is a marine habitat used for navigation, recreation, and commercial and sport fishing including shellfish harvesting.
(130/365) Strictly no dumping - especially after you've eaten shellfish from the bay! I wonder if anyone actually answers the help-line number given on the sign & what help they give you? I shall have to ring it & find out. HWW & HSS!
Just one of the many shellfish stalls dotted around Whitby Bath, but probably the most colourful and with the most choice!
The absolute best oysters I have ever eaten in my life come from Broadwater Oysters at Pambula. These creamy and flavoursome shellfish are Sydney Rock Oysters which I believe are unparalleled by any other type.
The bucolic scene pictured is immediately outside the operation on Pambula Lake, where pelicans co-exist with the boats and oyster growing cages. Broadwater oysters are so fantastic as the lake has a unique mix of fresh and salt water. NSW South Coast oysters are the best...
Note that flickr's info about the Fujifilm X-70 is wrong, as the metadata provided by ACR is also wrong - the lens focal length is actually 18.5mm, making it a 28mm full frame equivalent. I use Photoshop CS6 and not CC as I disagree with Adobe's subscription model, and ACR for my version of CS6 doesn't recognise X-70 RAW (RAF) files. This is a disgrace as I bought a perpetual license for CS6 and Adobe has abandoned me, so this is processed from a JPG, and not from a RAW file......
The reflection of a boat in the sea creates concentric patterns reminding the surface of the shells below.
Mesolithic coastal shell middens were a little like medieval village mounds - refuse areas that by force of repetition became physical mounds or even hillocks. Shell middens might show an obsession for a particular bivalve or a variety of 'refuse' including bones of Great Auks, shells and other broken bits of prehistoric spent.
