Here is one of the latest pieces I am working on for my show that I install on March 29th. This is a shellac resist technique where you paint shellac onto to dry greenware, porcelain or clay with no grog or sand works best. Let the piece dry overnight then wipe back the exposed areas with a wet sponge. This creates a beautiful raised area for glaze to pool around and highlight. The shellac burns out in the bisque firing and you need to wipe/sand off the shellac ash that is left on the piece before glazing. Fun technique!
