I got new photoshoot sheets, and Beth got to be the inaugural photoshoot for some of them. She really liked the red, and the blue went well with her hair. Overall, the photoshoot went about as well as a photoshoot can go for me.
The contact sheet looked cooler than any individual shot, think I'll give it to the wedding couple as a present.

This is the front of the new £2 million extension to Bristol Colston Hall, caught in the midday sun which really shows of their golden colour.
I'm not sure whether this metal is intended to slowly tarnish as the years go by, but it'll be interesting to see what does happen as it slowly 'matures'.

perf - 11 3/4 x 11 3/4
The first stamps (identified by Unitrade as CL1) produced for the LAURENTIDE AIR SERVICE LIMITED Company in August and September 1924 were light green in color. The stamps featured Curtis HS-2L flying boat over a Canadian northland scene at sunrise. The CL2 stamp issue had the same design but in decidedly darker green colors. In October 1924, the CL3 and CL4 designs were introduced. These red stamps of the same basic design had the addition of “Canada 1924” on the rising sun. (see above) The CL3 was perforated and the CL4 was rouletted. Some booklets of stamps were available. Full booklets contained four panes of two stamps for a total of eight stamps per booklet. Each stamp sold for 25 cents. LINK - www.aerophilately.ca/Canadian%20Aerophilatelist%20116%20S...
The era of commercial bush flying began in 1919 at Lac-à-la-Tortue when Stuart Graham successfully piloted the first forest-fire reconnaissance flight in Canada, a feat that led to the creation of Laurentide Air Service Ltd. Before ceasing operations in 1925, this company helped to establish industry standards and opened possibilities in the field, particularly in aerial photography and mapping. The industry has since played a crucial role in Canada's economy and transportation system, most notably in the exploration and development of the country's natural resources.
On August 9th, 1924 the Laurentide Air Service began, with permission from the Post Office Department, to sell air mail stamps. This was the first time this permission was granted in Canada.
Laurentide Air Service Ltd. - The company originally started in 1919 to help patrol the timber regions in the St. Maurice River Valley. By 1924, the company changed its name to Laurentide Air Service and started the first regular passenger air route in Canada. Proving to be a reliable air carrier, postal authorities allowed the company to charge a fee to carry letters.
Company Notes:
- First flight was September 11, 1924. Haileybury to Rouyn.
- 4 stamps were issued.
- 3 special cachets were used.
- Plane crashed on January 24, 1925.
- Covers were prepared for a Trans-Canada Flight but was not flown. The plane was unfit for service and was abandoned.
- Company closed in 1925 from financial difficulties.

Ken Molson, a Canadian aviation historian of note, aptly summed up the importance of the Laurentide Air Service to Canadian aviation: "While the company did go out of business, it did establish the standards from which the traditions of air transport in Canada have started. Moreover its personnel spread throughout the Canadian aviation industry and, through them, its experience continued to benefit the industry for many years afterwards" LINK - epe.lac-bac.gc.ca/100/205/301/ic/cdc/sgraham/laur2.htm

From Teaching to Flying - Alexander Daniel (Dan) McLean, O.B.E., was born on January 31, 1896, in Maxville, Ontario, where he began his schooling. In 1907 his family moved to Innisfail, Alberta, where he completed his education. He then attended Normal School in Calgary, Alberta, and became a teacher. He taught school in that province for a short time, and in 1917 he enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps. After ground training at the School of Military Aeronautics at the University of Toronto in Ontario, he was ordered to England where he graduated as a commissioned pilot. He served as a flying instructor until the war ended in 1918.
Airmail Service - While attending the University of Alberta in Edmonton during 1919-20, McLean joined the Canadian Air Force Reserve, attended a refresher course at Camp Borden, Ontario, in 1921 and obtained his Civil Commercial Pilot's Licence. Instead of remaining in aviation, he joined his father in business at Innisfail until the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) called him back into service in 1927. After completing several airmanship courses, he spent two years on aerial photographic missions in Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes. On January 28, 1929, he piloted the inaugural airmail flight from Ottawa, Ontario, to St. John, New Brunswick. Two days later he completed the inaugural return flight. Then, for a short period, he was pilot of an experimental airmail service between Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John, New Brunswick.
Building Airports - The Government of Canada's Department of National Defence hired him in April 1929, as Inspector of Western Airways, with headquarters at Regina, Saskatchewan, under the Controller of Civil Aviation, J.A. Wilson. While stationed there he organized construction of the first airways system on the prairies, from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Calgary, and from Regina to Edmonton, Alberta. This operation saw the construction of a chain of airports between these centres, complete with night-lighting and weather and radio services. He then completed an aerial survey of a southern Rocky Mountain flyway to Vancouver, British Columbia, from Alberta, and selected the route through the Crow's Nest Pass. In 1931 he was transferred to Ottawa to replace J.H. Tudhope as Acting Superintendent of Airways and Airports. In this position he directed construction of all new flight-ways, from Winnipeg throughout eastern Canada.
Alexander Daniel (Dan) McLean was inducted as a Member of Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame in 1974 at a ceremony held in Edmonton, Alberta. Read the complete article at this LINK - cahf.ca/alexander-daniel-mclean/
Hannah the kitten loves playing with the sheets, and white sheets work as a great diffuser for the morning sun. With the 85mm almost wide open at f/1.7, the surrounding sheets take on a nice creamy quality. It's almost like she's in an ice cave.

The nights are getting really cold here. I treated myself and bought a new set of cotton flannel sheets.
So cozy!
Differential equations formula sheet is a mathematicalequation for an unknown function of one or several variables that relates the values of the function itself and its derivatives of various orders. Differential equations play a prominent role in engineering, physics, economics, and other disciplines.
