Still clearing out the photos of what we did for the rest of the summer - these are from October 3. We made a tile run to Santa Fe and were planning to go for a hike in Buckman but (we'd later learn) were both in the early stages of the flu. So instead of doing a long hike we compromised and took a leisurely walk through Tent Rocks. The place never disappoints and it was on the way home :^)

I spotted this when actually parked at Newcastle Beach after a sunrise shoot.

I liked the acute angle of the leading edge of this building - I exaggerated this by leaving on my wide-angle lens and taking a couple of shots, including this one.

This is one of the new buildings that has been built on the former Royal Newcastle Hospital site.

Every year we get a visit from Granddad and Grandmom Sharp. It is a long weekend filled with traditions...poker night, birthday celebrations and family pictures.

I got a knife sharpener, hand held. at recent yard sale. And today I sharpened my knives. It's been many years. Its nice to be able to do it on my own again.

While taking this portrait, one thing was in my mind that i want to capture the real expression of the girl, as there was many other fellow photographers who were taking pictures of this girl by composing pose for her. As i mentioned above i wanted to capture the real expressions of her, so i waited for a while pointing my camera at her, she saw this and gave me a sharp look n i clicked the shutter...
