Staff Sgt. Jake Sharp, a equipment operator with 3120th Engineers, 120th Engineer Battalion, Oklahoma Army National Guard and native of Quapaw, Okla., clears a soldier’s rife during weapons qualification ranges at Camp Gruber, Okla., June 9.

Rifle qualification is an important part of a Soldier’s individual training, ensuring they are proficient and prepared to deploy to a combat theater when called. To qualify with their weapons Soldiers must score a hit on 23 of 40 targets from three different firing positions: prone supported with a sandbag, prone unsupported and kneeling.

The 120th is undergoing premobilization training at Camp Gruber, near Muskogee, Okla., preparing for a deployment to Afghanistan later this year. The 120th Engineer Battalion is deploying to Afghanistan as a headquarters element for National Guard units from multiple states as well as active duty Army units and the Afghan National Army.

Panorama of Curiosity images of the left-side of Mount Sharp. I think I over-processed the colors...

Quintron & Miss Pussycat, John Wesley Coleman, and Sharp Balloons played the Hi Tone Cafe in Memphis, Tennessee, on December 2, 2012. There were lots of beers and nude asses.

In some areas, the rock was still rough and jagged. Fun to climb on, if slightly painful.

Sharp-lobed Hepatica (Hepatica acutiloba, sometimes listed as Anemone acutiloba or Anemone nobilis). I was surprised at how white these flowers are. Closer to home I usually see the other local species of hepatica (Round-lobed Hepatica), which typically has a purple tint to the flowers, among other differences. September 1, 2010

The "West End Kids" dance troupe performing as part of the Regent Street Motorshow. These photographs are a collection of multiple approx. 15 minute dance routines they performed through the day, although the same routine was repeated through the day.

This is the first time I photographed people dancing, made a bit harder as they were so close up - in your face (I had the right lens for it). As it was the first type of shoot, not everyone is 100% centered as I'd like, or 100% pin sharp.

Weather was dry, fairly warm, which contributed to a record breaking number of people visiting the event - and it felt like it as it was packed.

Held on Saturday 03 November 2018.

This is for a Gizmodo photo competition. Subject was Sharp.

This is a gift to my flickr friends, upon return from a severe flu.

I cannot resist uploading a slightly enhanced version of one of my preferred flower macros. This flower has a strong defensive barrier as you may see. The picture was taken under direct sunlight, last spring. Hope you like it.

TAKEN AT EITHER BENTWATERS OR WOODBRIDGE IN THE MID 1960'S , POOR CAMERA QUALITY HENCE THE NOT VERY SHARP PICTURE..
