Sharp (Hayakawa Electric Industry Co., Ltd) was founded by Tokuji Hayakawa in 1915. The company started by making pencils...the "Ever-Sharp" pencil to be exact. (I would assume that's where the name Sharp came from). In 1925 they began producing crystal radio sets and made their first AC/tube radio sets in 1928.
They claim to have produced Japan's first commercially released TV set (the TV3-14T) in 1953.
Not much fun to drive behind was this. Lots of sharp turning, braking is applied as either 'on or off', and a last minute decision at that. The car shot up very high when the handbrake was applied, I don't even know how to do that?
The car has never left its (older) first owner and looks to be in a good condition, is that a little rust around the rear arch? Mud sprayed up the side too. Oh and the driver doors not shut properly.
The cars even got local dealer issue plates! This came from the garage where I found the Renault 5, Toyota Celica, '50's Buick and Ssyangyong Kyron.

I want to call it a Cooper's one minute and a Sharpy the next. Size at 9.5 inch would be small for Coop.

This is the bird that I showed in my previous picture. I had assumed it was a Sharp-shinned Hawk, which are much more common in this area. But bp250 , a sharp-eyed Flickrite, suggested that it was a Cooper's Hawk. Maybe this view of its tail will help. It does have a wide band at the end of the tail.

Sharpes of Nottingham: (HBZ 651; ex P813 GBA) a Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B10M, painted in silver and blue livery and captured here parked up at the Imperial War Museum's Duxford Airfield site whilst attending the 2010 Showbus event there.
Noticeable on the nearside is the mid arrangement for the wheel chair lift with the access door situated just above and in front of the rear axle, for use as an Accessible vehicle.

Friends and I saw a group of 17 (?) of these beautiful birds on the road and flying off, over the fields, when we were on a four-day road trip in SE Alberta and travelling towards Foremost. I thought they were Sharp-tailed Grouse, but needed to double check when I got back home to my computer. This female stopped long enough at the edge of the road for me to take a couple of very quick shots through the car window before flying off to join the others. I love the pattern of those beautiful feathers. Taken on Saturday, 21 September 2013, the second day of our four-day trip.

This is on the short stretch of average speed camera controlled 50 limit towards Stockport on the M60. I'm doing 50mph here, which perhaps gives an indication of the Audi's speed.
The gap he pulled into behind the Kia and in front of the BMW can't have been more than a few car lengths. He exited at the junction.
Chris Rea's 'Driving Home For Christmas' would have been more appropriate here, as I was indeed driving home for Christmas.
The Humboldt Squid have razor-sharp tentacles that use to latch onto their prey, which includes rockfish, hake, sardines, lanternfish, shrimp, molluscs and even other Humboldt squid.
