Meg Garvin, M.A., J.D., an executive director for the National Crime Victim Law Institute and clinical professor of law at Lewis & Clark Law School, gives a presentation on sexual assault victim’s legal rights to attendees of the 3rd annual Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Summit Aug. 2-3, 2016, at the Golden Lion conference center, Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy. The presentation followed an active duty survivor’s first-hand accounts of sexual assault and presentation from a psychologist on how those accounts impact brain function, which Garvin used to help explain the struggles some victims encounter when seeking legal justice. Sharp (Hayakawa Electric Industry Co., Ltd) was founded by Tokuji Hayakawa in 1915. The company started by making pencils...the "Ever-Sharp" pencil to be exact. (I would assume that's where the name Sharp came from). In 1925 they began producing crystal radio sets and made their first AC/tube radio sets in 1928.
They claim to have produced Japan's first commercially released TV set (the TV3-14T) in 1953.

The Zama American High School Trojans brought their teamwork into sharp focus to beat the Robert D. Edgren High School Eagles from Misawa Air Base 40 – 17 during the homecoming football game at ZAHS’s Barry Huitema Field Oct. 19.
In the afternoon, a Homecoming parade was held to fire up the community and prepare for the football games. Hundreds of observers lined the streets of Camp Zama and cheered as they watched a cavalcade of lavish floats, marching bands, cheerleader squads, growling motorcycles and more. They proceeded on a route that began at the ZAHS campus, circled around the center of the installation, and returned to Trojan Field prior to the homecoming games.
Participants in the parade included Soldiers assigned to Camp Zama, community organizations both on and off the installation, and of course the students themselves. A cheering squad or – oendan, from nearby Seiryo High School also participated in the parade and performed a synchronized, high-energy routine in support of the ZAHS football games.

The United States Army Garrison Japan and its 16 supported installation sites are located in the island of Honshu and Okinawa in Japan. The USAG-J area of responsibility spans 1,500 miles from north to south of Japan. This is the bird that I showed in my previous picture. I had assumed it was a Sharp-shinned Hawk, which are much more common in this area. But bp250 , a sharp-eyed Flickrite, suggested that it was a Cooper's Hawk. Maybe this view of its tail will help. It does have a wide band at the end of the tail.

I was going through some old Cobblers programmes, and came across this advert. I doubt the advert features in the programme this season. If it did, and if the Camera supplier was still in business, they certainly wouldn`t have sold any extra film if one was to photograph the highlights of this season so far!
A group of us visited three specific sites in Pickens County, in the upstate of South Carolina over the weekend of March 19-20, 2021. Lots of wildflowers in full bloom. These are just a sampling of what we saw.

Lisle's a great weekend afternoon camping spot. There's a great view of the tracks from the east end of parking lot E, which on weekdays is usually packed full. I was after a shot involving the signal bridge behind the 175, unfortunately heat haze rising from the tracks blurred those out, but this close up worked out just fine.

Sharpes of Nottingham: (HBZ 651; ex P813 GBA) a Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B10M, painted in silver and blue livery and captured here parked up at the Imperial War Museum's Duxford Airfield site whilst attending the 2010 Showbus event there.
Noticeable on the nearside is the mid arrangement for the wheel chair lift with the access door situated just above and in front of the rear axle, for use as an Accessible vehicle.

Super sharp Nikon D4 photos of a surf goddess! At ISO 200, the shutter speeds were bteween 1/2000 s and 1/5000 s! Thanks to the super-fast Nikon D4 full-frame!
Rising pro woman's surf star Lakey Peterson won the Nike US Open in Huntington Beach!
She had a couple perfect 10's and a near perfect heat! Lakey's 19.76 was the highest heat score at the 2012 US Open in Huntington Beach, for both men's and woman's!

The Nikon D4 is amazing! It never misses a shot! And the 600mm nikkor prime was amazingly fast! I shot at ISO 200 fully open at F4 and many of these photos were shot at 1/4000 s or 1/5000 s! Amazingly sharp & detailed!
She was wearing a white Nike Wetsuit & a red and/or blue singlet!
She was poetry in motion!
