"2nd Day - City of Orlando Training: Sometimes two facilitators are born to collaborate. Caroline Del Rey and Christina Closs are exactly that: a dream team. These two fantastic, engaging, and charismatic facilitators make it seem like they choreographed every move to complement each other perfectly, like a dance.
In a room full of almost 300 counselors for 2.5 hours, they managed to achieve 100% participation for their workshop. They got everyone on their feet with "Encanto Yoga," had groups competing in "Check It, Change It, Reverse It," and effectively calmed the room with "Draw What You Hear" to close the session. Throughout, our counselors demonstrated deep knowledge of the material, answered questions accurately, recalled information throughout the session, and modeled behaviors through social learning.
I was so proud of Caroline and Christina's excellent communication with these counselors, creating a positive and supportive learning environment, and maintaining participant engagement by quickly moving to the next activity. This was a beautiful conclusion to the months of training we've shared with the City of Orlando.

The Solar Share project challenges prevailing economic models with insights from sunlight-harvesting organisms that are crucial to the metabolism of life on Earth. Staged as a one-square-meter microalgae bioreactor, the artwork foregrounds human energy dependence on photosynthesis and proposes harvested edible microalgae as a radical economic unit: The Solar Share. This unit is the biomass produced on one square meter of the Earth’s surface on the day of measure. This edible algae unit is a photosynthetic proof of work that can be consumed, exchanged, or stored as a currency. The Solar Share is an invitation to experience firsthand a transformative economic model that reintegrates human metabolism and energy needs with the actual new energy entering the Earth’s system as photosynthesis. The Solar Share provocatively recenters Earth’s metabolism in economics, redefining sustainability within planetary limits.
