Sharers Talks: Redefining Value with the Sharing Economy at General Assembly on December 18 in San Francisco.
This morning, searching for inspiration, I decided to take a trip down memory lane, and go back through my archive... I found a small selection of shots from when I first picked up a camera last year... These are a handful of street shots, hope you like them...

The futuristic-looking Alstom Citadis 302 trams on Lyon's T3 share much of their track with the Rhônexpress tram-train service to Lyon Saint Exupéry airport. The two services terminate at Lyon Part-Dieu SNCF station.
Annie shows Elena (who she's been recognized as "the sister" of) some pictures of her new niece. I love capturing candid moments, especially the beauty in great friendships.

While Oshawa, Ontario is the centre of General Motors manufacturing in Canada, the city never produced the Pontiac Sunfire as seen in this mural on Oshawa's Bond Street West.

They share the direction they head
One in black the other wears red
They share the speed they are going
Why are they running only they'd be knowing
ODC: Shared
South Africa and Western Australia, the two sites for the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), share the same southern geographic latitude. Therefore, they also share the same night sky, albeit with a time difference of about 6 hours.
Since the early days of human presence in these parts of the world, the indigenous peoples have seen the same constellations, the Milky Way and the planets wheel overhead;
first in Australia and a few hours later in South Africa. This is a powerful idea that lets the imagination run free in these days of international collaboration in building the largest radio telescope the world has ever seen: the Square Kilometre Array.
A recent exhibition, 'Shared Sky', brings together works of art by indigenous artists from both areas in a magnificent collection, as breathtaking as the sky itself.
The Yamaji and other aboriginal artists have contributed paintings that are done in the typical colourful pointillistic style on phenomena in the sky, like the stars, planets, sun and moon and the Emu in the sky: the Milky Way.
The descendants of San people of the Karoo in South Africa have contributed artworks done in textiles, depicting stories of creation and ancient celestial culture.
The exhibition was opened last month in Perth, Australia at the John Curtin Gallery and will ultimately travel to all corners of the globe. Next stop South Africa. More background information can be found on the website of the SKA: www.skatelescope.org/shared-sky/
I like this top and I think it will get several more outings. The necklace is different from that worn by my wife, though both were hers. I'm wearing an owl pendant and the owl is on the coat of arms for my village - adopted from the family whose land this was. It might be of interest to US followers as one member of the family was Captain Miles Standish of Pilgrim Father's fame and for his courtship

Toy Sunday, theme - Show and Tell
There was an expedition today, out in the cold garden.
The focus of the expedition was finding flowers. There was more searching than finding, including a long and unsuccessful search in the grass for Yewlee's right 'holding' hand!! I might have to go out again and try and find that myself but it is so cold out there today!
Everyone gathered to see their gatherings and they gave a short demonstration of basic flower arranging before handing out the flowers they had found for their audience to investigate themselves.
I took a photo so that I can pin it on the notice board help everyone retain what they learned today.
A single hollyhock from a seed that must have lain dormant for years. Shared with the slugs and snails (see the bottom leaves!) but still now happily blooming. A specially nice surprise this morning to see it is a white hollyhock

When I went to the beach this last weekend I happened to find a doll shop O-O not like modern dolls though (unfortunately) but they had TONS of miniatures so I went and found the tiny coke case with the bottles! They all come out and they're pretty close to the 1/6th scale size! The dollies love them for sure!
