Back in July I had the absolute pleasure of designing Alice and Gordon's wedding cakes. The wedding took place at their property in the gorgeous Macedon Ranges and was timed just perfectly between rain, hail and sunshine!
The cake was designed with the beautiful lace work on Alice's dress as the inspiration. Alice did not want a fondant covered cake, so we worked on buttercream covered cakes and an allergy friendly modelling chocolate that we developed for the lace applique work.
The flavours ranged from vanilla bean cake with raspberry and lemon buttercream, and chocolate buttercake with frangelico buttercream.
All guests' allergies were catered for as we were able to make peanut free, chickpea free and gluten free versions of everything.

Every year thousands of Hindu devotees gather in front of Shri Shri Lokenath Brahmachari Ashram temple for the Kartik Brati or Rakher Upobash religious festival in Barodi, Near Dhaka, Bangladesh. Faithful sit in front of candles light ( named locally as Prodip ) and absorb in prayer.
Lokenath Brahmachari who is called Baba Lokenath was an 18th Century Hindu saint and philosopher in Bengal. Hindu worshippers fast and pray in earnest to the gods for their favors during the traditional ritual called Kartik Brati or Rakher Upobash

I actually don't even know who this is. He just ran up and was hitting the button while a friend of mine was running through the water and I was taking pictures.
I wonder how many strangers I have amazing pictures of that will never get to see them.

The 40th reunion was amazing!! Almost 100 of our classmates met on Friday July 15 at Elks Lodge downtown Ames Iowa, which was a nice venue, it provided lots of room and great backgrounds for photos and lots and lots of re-connecting and conversation with friends and classmates. Saturday, July 16 we all toured the High School then met again at the Memorial Union for group photos out on the steps and more photos and dinner in the Sun Room and another wonderfully enchanted evening of re-connecting with old friends. It was so much fun to see classmates we had not seen for so long, in some cases not since AHS days 40 years ago. We all have journeyed 40 years to get to this spot in time.
