I used to spend lots of time with friends, but pretty much hibernated with the Covid shutdowns. Today, I answered the call of a 92-year-old friend who desperately wanted to email a relative for their birthday. I used to work in IT and almost always just say no to being tech support, but had to yes to him. Glad I did.
PITTSBURGH, Pa - Residents from the Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home (PSSH) in Erie, the Southwestern Veterans’ Center in Pittsburgh and the Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home in Hollidaysburg participated in the annual Sharing and Caring Boat Ride on Tuesday, Sept. 5. The event included a catered lunch and entertainment during a mid-day cruise on the Gateway Clipper exploring the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers. PSSH Commandant Barb Raymond served as this year’s honorary Captain which included the laying of a ceremonial wreath and a salute from the Pittsburgh Fire Department.
Sharing & Caring, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of hospitalized veterans. Each year, DDB Canada's offices showcases their culture of creativity by hosting Share DDB, a unique fundraising event where staff members contribute items to the silent auction. Items range from photography, paintings and handmade jewellery to rock-climbing lessons, sailing adventures, catered gourmet dinners and more. Anything that can be imagined (and made) can be submitted for staff, their significant others, clients, suppliers and invited guests to bid on.
The proceeds are split between two deserving charities selected by staff. Share DDB 2013 in Vancouver raised $25,000 for two very deserving charities, the James Lee Foundation and Music Heals.

comments from MMLs, others???.........think this is my fav since both are animated. wish i had been on a more manual focus cause i think the camera was confused on what exactly i wanted to capture. and it was grainy because of the brightly lit newstand behind?? if i sharpened it up, then did a soften would it look 'smoother'?

Such a sweet scene. I watched this playful young dad and his giggling toddler revel in each other's company on the beach recently. Life is short and precious. Hold on tight, don't hold grudges, and appreciate your loved ones despite their imperfections - they're your loved ones for a reason.
