1. The element that this image investigates is shape. The baseball diamond is two dimensional which makes this image apart of the element of shape.

2. The subject matter of this photograph is the baseball diamond since it is the main object.

The second most fundamental element of design is shape, because shape is the principal element of identification. The most important thing to keep in mind when shape is the essential element in an image is that it is best defined when the subject is frontlit or backlit. For that shape to be successfully identifiable, it needs to be in strong contrast with its surroundings so that it is detached from the clutter around it

This photo incorporates the use of shape with the focal point being the round pills at the bottom of the bottle. This photo was taken at my house, and it is important to me because it symbolizes my battle with depression. I remember this day well, and I can say that this was a particularly bad day for me and I think that is what influenced me to take the picture of my antidepressants.

1. The element that this image investigates is shape. It is represented in this shot by the contrast of the square frame against the dark wood background.

2. The subject matter of the image is the frame showing the purple flowers. I approached this image by going directly above it and capturing a birds eye view so that the element of shape was emphasized.

3. The most visually striking aspect of this photograph is the white picture frame. I think the purple flowers also add to my image as well as the lighting.

4. If I were to shoot this image again i would add some more interesting shapes to catch the viewers eye.

Went to review another band at The Wedgewood Rooms, called All the Shapes, who were awesome :)

Output from my color library program as part of testing - I wanted to make sure it supported mixed shapes. (It also generates .svg output as well now, but I can't upload that to Flickr as it doesn't support that type.)
