Different rock layers are more or less eroded by water after their resistance. So we can find a passage like this in the Inghiottitoio dai Fornez (Pradis, Friûl) where the cross section is shaped by the different resistace to erosion of limestone and conglomerate. In this particular case, conglomerate looks to be harder and a think layer forms a sort of shelf on the sides of the passage, that has a number 8 shaped cross section.

covered this advertisement with gesso after I roughed it up a bit with some sand paper. Then I stenciled all over it. Not sure where I am going to use it but it seems to be a versatile color scheme
The shape is an arch which is emphasised through lighting, with the backdrop of the sky, and reflection in the lower arch shaped window. The shape is further emphasised by the repetition of three smaller arches within the arched window frame. Sepia tone was used to put the focus on the lighting of the shapes whilst keeping the warmth of the stone.
Made a new slimmer shape for the Maitreya Lara body, different skin and hair from the original look.

In Panjab University Chandigarh. The similarity in the color schemes and shapes attracted me to this one.
D10s are strange things. They're not quite regular shapes are they? Not in the sense of being "Platonic Solids" anyway. (Their faces are not themselves regular, although of course they are perfectly regular enough to serve as dice.)
The picture is a bit of a cheat though, since I've already used a very similar shot for the "Lucky Numbers" theme of Thing-a-week.
