Just a simple shot of a model I've done a lot of work with.
Camera & lighting info: Nikon D7000 & Nikon 35mm f/2 @ 1/250th & f/8. Nikon SB-800 on camera as commander for CLS wireless. SB-600 into 40" umbrella above the model. Second SB-600 through 24" umbrella low on the ground below and left of the model to provide fill.
Related to the typical falcons, but very different in shape and habits. The Crested Caracara is a strikingly patterned, broad-winged opportunist that often feeds on carrion. Aggressive, it may chase vultures away from road kills. Widespread in the American tropics, it enters our area only near the Mexican border and in Florida. "Caracara" comes from a South American Indian name, based on the bird's call.
Feeds on a wide variety of smaller creatures, either captured alive or found dead. Diet includes rabbits, ground squirrels, skunks, various birds (plus their eggs and young), frogs, snakes, lizards, turtles, young alligators, fish, large insects.
I found this Juvenile playing with a stick it had picked up at Dinner Island Wildlife Management Area. Hendry County, Florida.

From a sunrise shoot at Newcastle Beach, NSW, Australia yesterday. There was a blanket of grey cloud on the horizon which blocked the rising sun, so the light wasn't ideal but at least I got out :-))

The tower in the background first drew my attention. After an hour playing with the light and the area, the shapes took form and this one is filled with them
Most wonderful days when Airabelle flies, because the winds are bellow 12 MPH, that means, the balloons don't move as fast around Fiesta Park, the other point is compare the size of the balloon as compared to the people around Her ! as well in 2007 Event week there weren't as many specials shapes back then, this was a Wednesday, the special shapes day now days is Thursday & Friday, I have also recorded that this year I managed to acquire 1000 photographs, for that week ! as well didn't have any rejections. this is also the day that Airabelle was Hit by another ascending Balloon However She was examined and participated in the Glow show in the evening !

It is an extremely wet dull rainy day so we jumped in the car and went for a drive. I was on the look out for shapes for this week's challenge, you can see the rain if you zoom in. I actually love these days, it makes such a change to the endless summer photos lol This is a new build, an apartment block going up at The Mount.

In January 2020 First Cymru received five 12m 'classic shape' Alexander Dennis Enviro300s - 67632, 67633, 67634, 67636 and 67643 - from First West of England. This was at a time when third party vehicles - Optare Solo SRs from Dawsonrentals and Alexander Dennis Darts and Enviro200s from South Wales Transport - were having to be hired.
First Cymru was their fourth operator. They were new to First Midland Red as members of a large batch and then had a short stint with First Potteries, followed by an even shorter stay with First West of England, where they arrived last Autumn for Q-Buster duties.
Only 67632, 67633 and 67634 entered service - at Swansea Ravenhill depot - whilst 67636 and 67643 were used as spares donors. Their tenure in South Wales was brief due to world events in 2020 and all five were sold for scrap later that year.
I caught up with 67632 in February 2020 on Gower Road in the Sketty area of Swansea when she was operating what was then Service 10 (now 91) linking Swansea University's two campuses, though also available to the general public.
This shape was made wearing LaraX Petite mesh body and Lelutka EvoX 3.1 Kaya head.
