The pillars that hold NYC newest over the Hudson river park. Originally the piers for the Cunard white star lines.

Last shot from Waterton... for now. The dark clouds and rain are passing overhead; behind them, the first rays of sunshine are beginning to stream through and hit the mountain slopes.

 

This was good in colour but I decided to convert to black and white for the extra drama.

 

Tomorrow, a different national park!

Aqueduct of Segovia: one of the most extensive surviving civil works from Roman Hispania. Following the run of the aqueduct it's amazing how the structure was still porting water till the late 1800s and how long of a run is still preserved. 2000+ yrs. no cement just a keystone, mind-boggling.
