I was wandering around the house trying to find something suitable. I ended up taking a picture of this crayon. I had photographed it before for macro Monday but I thought I would try again. It seemed to be a perfect subject for this challenge.
Happy Macro Monday!
Happy to see here...
That shadow looks like a skeleton hand... maybe I am in a spooky mood. :-)

This picture is going to be called: The hand...
Thanks so much, friend !!! What a great vision ! :))))
See into the trees
Find the girl
while you can
Come closer and see
See into the dark
Just follow your eyes
Just follow your eyes
I hear her voice
Calling my name
The sound is deep
In the dark
Another impromptu MM. I am still trying to get the house organized so this was the only game out to take a shot of. I know there will be a million chess pieces for the challenge and I apologize for my lack of creativity. The only thing I liked about this image was the shadows. I guess I have to like the shadows considering I didn't get a chance to take a MM shot until it was time for bed and the only light was our living room lamp, haha!
I was struck by the transition from darkness to light, helped by the mist that was in the woods which seemed to diffuse the light and stop it penetrating too far in.
Yummy little blueberry cake donut hole. It was my husband's idea to take a small bite out of it, for added interest of course, hehe.

This image is approximately 2.25" wide. It's 2 pieces of paper - one is orange, the other is black. Lighting is natural from a nearby window. The camera lens is approximately 2" from the paper, and the camera is pointed in the general direction of the window. The general idea is to position the camera looking into the paper curves, with the paper angled to reflect some (not all) of the light coming from the window. Hopefully that makes sense.
Well, I know this is not my normal processing but this weekend I had a catastrophe. My computer hard drive crashed and I lost everything. Every picture, every setting and preset I have created within my editing software, .psd files I created, etc. I should have backed things up but life gets busy and sometimes things get overlooked. So......I am starting over. I'm trying to keep positive.
Looking out towards the sky framing a clear view of the blue sky and some clouds beyond.
The scene is dominated by strong contrasts between the shadowed interior and the brilliant light emanating from the doorway highlighting the texture of the stone.
Looking up can be a way to clear one's mind and find new ideas or perspectives, a metaphor for seeking inspiration.

This is not very original, I admit. But, I literally threw this together in probably 2 seconds, as I forget today was Macro Monday. My lack of creativity was mostly because I was completely devoid of ideas. At least I was able to participate and that was my ultimate goal. I posted so it was a win after all. :)

This is the start of Holy Week. This week it is time to focus on being closest to God. Not only that, but focus on serving God by serving others. Spend a little time with someone who needs love and attention. Say hello to a stranger. If you have 2 shirts in your closet, give one to charity. It is the little things that make all the difference in the world. Imagine, if we all did one little kind thing, how much this world would be forever changed.
