Mica and I took a hike in Madera Canyon recently. Before we got in the car to return home we sat in the shade to cool off a bit.
the sunlight was suprisingly hot this afternoon, many horses sheltering in the shade of various thickets around the forest, it was the drift yesterday (annual roundup) and I was anxious to visit Gray and her clan; I did not meet one of them, I comfort myself that she is a strong matriach and may have them away off the beaten track, so thats my plan for tomorrow, hide and seek adventure

A well behaved shade tolerant plant. I bought this as a dry root ball a few years ago. I tried to grow it in a spot that was too sunny at first and relocated it to this shady corner along the foundation. It has done well here.
Typically I shoot editorials on the street whilst I'm in Tokyo along with obvious, street photography.
But this time round I decided to mix things up and dive int a studio down in Meguro with Azusa to try out low-key. Been having the idea of doing a low-key shoot for quite a while but didn't really get to do it till now.

The sun is far too hot for a satin outfit. Luckily the palm trees provide plenty of shade and there is a light breeze to keep me cool..

This is a picture of my lamp shade and its shadow while testing out my camera.Did not mean to take this picture initially but quite surprised at how it turned out.
This Lamp shade is made out of used mineral water bottles displaying a simple but beautiful & creative way of reusing them...

It's only mid-morning as a prolonged heatwave reaches Newcastle, Australia, but already hundreds of people have arrived at local beaches for relief.
Day 208 [7-26-2016]
Lone adventure. After a very confusing day of miscommunication, I ended up not going to work which isn't how I pictured today to be. I like going to work and missing it under the circumstances that I did made me upset. Ah well. What are you going to do. I spent part of my day driving into boston and walking around a large public park with a giant fort in the middle of it. It was a very cool looking fort. I am mad that there was no way for me to get into it at all though. On my way to the fort, I passed by the most emergency vehicles I have ever seen in my life in one location. It looked like almost every cop car from Boston was there, two helicopters, and what looked to be five police and coast guard boats. I was to find out later that an 8 year old went missing while at a summer camp. I was to also find out a half hour before writing this that the kid's body was found in the water. Rest in peace.
