SF MOMA.......the museum of modern art on 3rd St, designed by swiss architect Mario Botta, has become an iconic presence in San Francisco since it opened in 1995. its red brick box-like structure is capped with a huge round tower of zebra-striped granite on which sits an immense circular skylight "like a big eye, like a Cyclops" as Botta himself described it.
Shot from the 4th floor terrace of the Metreon Entertainment Centre on 4th Street. There's a new events booking space up there called City View. It was closed but one of the workers let me in.
I know the SF Golden Gate Bridge has been photographed millions of times. What makes this special is all of the sun worshipers in the foreground. I have never seen so many people at Baker Beach. It was a glorious day in San Francisco.
