French written SF story from H.G. Wells ( L'Homme Invisible -the invisible man) published by Calmann-Levy, Paris in about 1925
The funny thing about this picture is that the guy to the right is a friend, and I didn't even see him. And he was obviously busy looking at something else and didn't see me.
SF X951W at Woodford CA on the mainline on January 14, 1996. Going west toward Bakersfield CA on Tehachapi Woodford is the siding between Walong, the loop, and Rowen. Woodford is a long siding, 8.960 feet, and has lots of good photo locations.
A rather nice, warm evening in SF, and a lovely sunset to boot. Not a cloud in the sky.
(This is actually the One Rincon Hill building, but it looks like a USB key to me.)

There is a great piece of bottle cap art that popped up in 2011 on Bryant Street in the Mission which we saw today for the first time. With a bit of Internet smartness we found that its Emperor Norton. #bottlecapart #sf #art
It was heartbreaking to watch the smoke billowing as I was safe in my high rise apartment knowing that it had already destroyed over 50 homes, killed at least one, and was hospitalizing many more.
I kept shooting until it was too dark to see the smoke. My thoughts are with the victims of this fire tonight.
