What if it falls out of the sky? What if it hits us? Gone..incinerated..like we never existed. That's what.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Eleven metres at 13:00pm on Saturday 10th November 2018, off Lækjargata and Vonarstræti, outside Iðnó Theatre in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Here we see Óþekkti Embættismaðurinn (The unknown bureaucrat), a statue from 1993 by artist Magnús Tómasson. This wonderful sculpture is said to depict the trivial existence of man as the working bee. The block of rock is used as a metaphor of how everyday life crushes down on us, a cog in the wheels of industry, a fceless person to most others.
Reykjavik is Iceland's capital city, and the most populous at 124,847.

This poor former Chinese Restaurant/ Family Home is just rotting (quite literally) behind a fence. I think the family-home setting - different from other places I've been before - gave the whole place quite a sad air.
What I really did like was that very, very few people had been there. For once, the bloody chavs/graffiti lot hadn't ruined the place.
I'm not sure what this room once was. It's now something like a cemetery for restaurant chairs. It's also the most damaged part of the building. The fissure in the wall looks like it's slowly growing out, into the room.
...reminds me of the Grudge.
Short time lapse of the Setting moon, with some lenticular cloud, a few satellites, a meteor, and even a bit of aurora. Taken on the 7th April 2014 between 0006 and 0212 UTC.
Testing the camera and settings before I did a late afternoon family photo shoot! We were supposed to have high winds and rain. The day was cloudy but the lightning, rain, and winds held off! Five minutes driving away, the clouds, indeed, opened up! Were we ever lucky!

The universe itself is God and the universal outpouring of its soul. --Chrysippus (Quoted by Cicero in De Natura Deorum)
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells. --To Autumn. by John Keats

In the album that this included in an image titled Ground Zero it shows the rebar let sticking up from the corner of the foundation as a reference point for setting the grade. If you look left of the bucket, you can see the rebar sticking up and the operator is using it to set the grade.
The name of the album is of course Polaris Building.
