A mini culinary adventure at Nourish Sequim. I stopped by for the weekend prix fixe menu. The entrance to the restaurant is so charming, the photo does not do justice.
The starter was a palette cleansing Mustard Turnip Rice Cake. The first course was Coconut Cream & Curry Leaf Custard filled Portobello Mushrooms. I really like the tangy sauce and the greens are spicy and full-bodied. The second course was Halibut, Strawberry Elderflower sauce. A very generous portion of entree. The polenta was heavy and a bit bland. I didn’t finish it. For dessert, I pick Passionfruit, honey lime Napoleon. Their citrus flavor is spot-on, sharp, and refreshing. And that was the main flavor for the Napoleon and the mustard turnip rice cake.
