Louisa was photographed on the same day as Gordonsville was. This old town took me a bit more time to photograph as it was quite busy that day. I believe it got quite chilly too, which didn’t help! While I was shooting Louisa, I really wanted to include the water tower that stood behind the two store fronts in the center. Unfortunately, that would’ve required me to zoom out and I was already at my lowest possible focal length, 40mm. Nevertheless, after I finished the main sequence of pictures that make up the panorama you see now, I went ahead and captured the water tower by tilting the camera up. I would’ve included that section, which would’ve made it look like half a sword, had I had the extra time. Maybe someday I’ll add that section to the panorama.
Hello all and welcome to my last trio of panoramas for my fourth year of photography. This is most likely my last trio of artwork for the high school chapter of my photography career. I’ve gone a long way since my first panorama, Occoquan, and I’m excited that I was able to accomplish my goal of nine panoramas before the end of the year. After I graduate high school, I hope to continue doing my panoramic theme. Today, I present to you my last three panoramas: Gordonsville, Louisa, and Warrenton. Gordonsville, along with Louisa and Warrenton, follow my standard guidelines for photographing panoramas: 180 degrees from store front to store front and a focal length of 40-50mm. This old town is quite interesting as all of the store fronts are red brick buildings. This creates a very red overall scene. By far, this was the most uniformly colored town. I wish I could’ve photographed this old town in the sunlight. Sadly, it was very cloudy that day, and it actually rained a few times too. Gordonsville is my favorite panorama from this project. Now my final panorama of the year: Warrenton. I picked this old town mainly because it reminded me of my dad’s name Darren. This panorama ended up becoming the widest one of the trio I produced in this project: measuring at 10 inches tall by 119 inches wide. Despite sticking to my guidelines, the panorama ended up being significantly wider than Gordonsville and Louisa. I must have taken more photos than usual when capturing this one. This was by far the most difficult panorama I’ve ever captured this year. While I was shooting, going from the right side to the left, at approximately half way through the snapping, the sun came out from the clouds. As a result, I had to wait about two minutes for the sun to become obscured by the clouds again. After that, I was able to continue snapping. I had to be super careful that the general scene didn’t get too bright, if it did it would leave a noticeably brighter section on the panorama. Sadly the edges of the panorama are a bit over exposed. Where you might think clouds are, some portions of it are actually clear blue sky. I made the mistake of basing the shutter speed and aperture on the middle of the panorama instead of the right or left most sides. I also learned my lesson about photographing on a partly cloudy day. For next time, I will make sure to plan for either a sunny or cloudy day. Well that’s it! I appreciate you all for hanging around this year, watching my panoramas grow. I especially thank all those who had stuck around to see me grow for the past three and a half years of photography. I hope my work has made some sort of impact on your mind. MUY dificil conseguir el inicio del salto ya que aparecen derrepente a 50, 100 - 200 metros o mas y las tienes a vista solo unos 5 o 6 segundos
Las tomas estan hechas con ráfaga de tres fotos por disparo a 1/800 de segundo, el mismo disparo produce tres imagenes con diferencia de 1/30 de segundo entre cada foto (Cl en el dial) - las 12, 13 y 14 de la secuencia corresponden al mismo segundo.

VERY difficult to get the start of the jump since they appear suddenly at 50, 100 - 200 meters or more and you have them in sight only about 5 or 6 seconds.
The shots are made with burst of three photos per shot at 1/800 of a second, the same shot produces three images with a difference of 1/30 of a second between each photo (Cl on the dial) - 12, 13 and 14 of the sequence correspond to the same second.
It's neither his 39th, nor his 93rd birthday... Somewhere in between. That's just the mysterious kind of guy my dad is.
