It's not often I upload photos out of sequence, as I'm a bit OCD about that, but here goes. This Stagecoach (North West) Switch Solo is seen here on its first day, or second day in service, as it was not tracking. Registered in late 11/2024, it is the third of seven for the Barrow-in-Furness depot to replace some of the Solo M850 'PX54' reg. stalwarts which have amassed twenty years service bar one day. Those initial eighteen, 47130-47, were later joined by another two from Preston, 47148/9, the latter of which is still in service. This brand new one arrived at Barrow earlier last week. Slide numbers 43 through 62 show the third eruptive pulse. This sequence was taken while moving clockwise from the west to the north side of the mountain at a distance of 7 to 10 miles and at an elevation of 17,000 feet.
Note: Slide numbers 43 - 50 were taken at 19:01 and show the pyroclastic flow as it advances northward. Skamania County, Washington. July 22, 1980. Slide number 51 was taken at 19:02. Slide numbers 52 - 55 were taken at 19:03. Slide numbers 56 - 57 were taken at 19:04. Slide numbers 58 and 59 were taken at 19:04 and 19:05. Slide numbers 60 - 62 are views of the eruption and were taken at 19:06.
Additional note: Mount St. Helens. List of color transparencies of the July 22, 1980 eruption. The following slides (1-114) of the July 22, 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens were taken by Jim Vallance, who was in a U.S. Forest Service fixed wing aircraft and by Mike Doukas, Harry Glicken and Rick Hoblitt, who were in a U.S. Geological Survey helicopter. There were three major eruptive pulses on July 22, 1980. They began at 17:14, 18:30 and 19:02 PDT.

Just a quick rough draft of a jump sequence. Needs further cleaning up. Always wanted to do a shot like this. Thanks to Paul for being so willing to take part and sharing his athleticism.
Vellemann kit 4015 -based system (top) - fixed (replaced a diode).
The new brains: 4017 IC sequencer patched in (bottom breadboard) now removed.
Played around with a lot of resistors trying to cool down the output but it still overloads everything it's plugged into. Luckily the overdriver pedal underdrives it enough not to explode the chorus pedal, but it still slowly overloads with that awesome burning smell.
Burned out the power supply onboard the laptop being used to capture sound samples - laptop works but backlight of the monitor doesn't. Might try using an external monitor.
