The Halloween Pennant (Celithemis eponina) is a common dragonfly found throughout North America east of the Rocky Mountains, as far north as southern Canada. They fly all year in Florida.

Miami, Florida, USA. We find the Zebra Heliconian (Heliconius charithonia) in the southeastern US, Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. This butterfly is unique in that it feeds on pollen as well as nectar. The Zebra Heliconian has a long life compared to other butterflies. It will live for an average of about six months.
