This tiny rubber ring is a separator.
Actually, there are 6 rings between my upper molars to separate the inter-dental spaces.
This like-new room separator is in excellent condition and available for sale. It fits an opening of 190"W. The track is a total of 32'L. UC San Diego nanoengineers developed a safety feature that prevents lithium metal batteries from rapidly overheating and catching fire in case of an internal short circuit. The clever tweak does not prevent battery failure, but rather provides advance warning of failure and makes it much safer.

This picture shows the clean coolant coming from the oil water separator section of the EdjeTech C.R.O.S.S.
The C.R.O.S.S. Unit was developed for shops having machine tools with individual coolant reservoirs.
C.R.O.S.S. is used in conjunction with a portable sump cleaner/filter that is used on a regular basis to remove contaminated coolant and all swarf, chips and sludge from the coolant reservoir.
The C.R.O.S.S. Unit is furnished in start up condition, needing only electrical hook up and water supply for the coolant proportioner.
The C.R.O.S.S. is manufactured from mild coated steel and other high grade material suited for industrial applications.

Bruce M also brought along this contraption: a centrifugal separator of sorts: one attaches a vacuum to the top, then the side tube sucks in whatever tangentially so that it spirals into the bucket. We're going to try to separate oily mist from shop air, as soon as we find a shop vac!

In rural areas of Bangladesh farmers use a kind of spinning mill to separate rice from the straw . This photo is taken at time of their doing the separator job . They store the rice and also the straw . Straw is used to feed domestic animals and shade the houses .
These are critical to the operation of the diesel engine. If we get some bad fuel, these will clog up. We are now keeping spares in the coach for both the particulate filter and the water separator. If necessary, the water separator can be drained without removal for what we hope is a quick fix.
Notice also the very low ground clearance of the Allison transmission pan. This is the lowest place on our coach, and is VERY close to the highway! We try to avoid all hazards on the road, especially "alligators" (broken-up truck tires and shreds of rubber).
