This wood shredder has a magnetic separator to separate the iron from the wood. It is used for shredding internal dry walls made of wood.
This development project is called Presidio PHSH Adaptive Reuse Housing.
The Public Health Service Hospital (PHSH) is located in the Presidio of San Francisco. It has been rehabilitated into luxury condos housing in 2010, and it is now called "Presidio Landmark Apartments".

This complicated mass of tanks and pipes is the separator complex. Here water is somehow removed from the extracted oil. The water is sent to a pumphouse to return it to the field. The oil is sent to a pipeline where it goes somewhere else (though I'm not sure where it goes then).

In Philippine folklore, a manananggal (lit. remover / separator) is usually a voluptuous, beautiful woman who is able to split her body into two, with the upper half sprouting wings, letting her fly off to find something to feed on. Her one vulnerable spot is her lower body---one has to throw salt and garlic into it, so when daybreak comes and she has to join her upper and lower part together, she won't be able to because of the spices.
It scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. So it's funny that this gift, a small manananggal doll tickled me silly. I absolutely love her. Heck, she even has a small velcro spot to help her stick herself together again. Sooo cute! <3 <3 <3 Maybe she does really have powers---she's stolen my heart after all.
There's a chance she's really cursed. I was trying to shoot her outdoors earlier. It was around 12:30. I hung her on the clothes line, framed her against some palm trees using a tripod, then lit her up with a flash light for a creepy, set against the forest effect...
AND I COULDN'T SHOOT HER! Each time I tried, the wind would howl, shaking the trees and the clothesline so all her images are one big blur. I moved her to a smaller palmera plant instead of a clothesline, the one nestled against our house's wall since I figured it would be more sheltered from the wind. No can do, each time I tried shooting, the wind would make the plant flap. After that, I decided to pack up. It was after midnight after all, and I didn't want anything really creepy to happen. ^_^;;
