The iconic standing stones of Callanish on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Erected about 5000 years ago, it is believed that they pre-date Stonehenge by 2000 years.
For those thinking why didn't I shuffle left for some stone separation and a more pleasing composition, despite appearances this was taken in the rain with a raging icey cold wind. This was one of a few that didn't fall victim to rain spots! 😆

Always enjoy an off the wall camera capture, especially when it has to do with railroading. The somewhat explosive separation of the airbrake hoses and attendant escape and condensation of the compressed air. See the next photo for them coupled and close to disengaging. Captured during the 611 photo shoot. Going down tomorrow to watch them fire it up, meaning it will be stone cold and the fire will have to be built, engine lubed and all the other start up items. Beyond the glass wall was a slightly mysterious world of extravagant vegetation. Taken at Longwood Gardens Conservatory in early evening.
My neighbors are losers! Though no words have been exchanged I think they hate me for doing the D-Generation X crotch chop in the middle of the street in front of their kids. We live in the city not the suburbs... this is how we spell relief! "Lets Get Ready to.......

Was out at Balloch Castle Country Park again today. Tried to find some new interesting spots for photography. Wasn't too lucky, but eventually found this stump. Ended up taking a long exposure and, as you rightly guessed, I've been messing about with tones in lightroom! Anyway, I decided to do some extravagant processing for once!

Maybe my favorite Light Painting I've ever done! Amanda was long suffering on this one! But as usual killed the pose! Shot in the basement of the warehouse,the darkest place I've shot to date! Could not see my hand in front of my face,made for a lot of stumbling in the darkness. Gelled the Coast HP21 what a beast I love this light! No cropping or photoshop used.
