To my sensitive friends (such as myself!), to my vegetarian friends, and to my Muslim and Jewish friends, I apologize for this image, but this is what I saw, in the back of a small pick-up truck on the main street, in front of the building where many taquerias and other food vendors are located. In the US we usually isolate ourselves from this, rather than facing the realities of the raising, slaughtering, and consumption of animals. In Mexico, things are a bit closer to home, and not so hidden.

By mistake, I was in the "non scent" cashier line at the coop with my many highly-scented soaps. But then I questioned the cashier as to how far away a "scent -sensitive" person would have to be in order to be affected by anything with a scent?! Wouldn't they be just as affected by someone buying scented soap in the next line? He said, "I know, it's pretty stupid."
“Then when dusk began to settle he would retrace his steps, back to his own world. And on the way home, a loneliness would always claim his heart. He could never quite get a grip on what it was. It just seemed that whatever lay waiting "out there" was all too vast, too overwhelming for him to possibly ever make a dent in.”

I ran across 12th Ave., close to Oak St., and to my surprise, Cristina was there, serendipitously waiting to have her photo taken by me.
Cristina would describe herself as sensitive.
Okay so I finally folded. In the Prison Break Newsletter that I get via email (oh leave me alone, so I'm a little obsessed!), I always see ads to subscribe to Prison Break magazine. Of course I wouldn't subscribe to such a thing, why would I? Wouldn't that just be an admission to how much of my life is devoted to a televison show? Plus, if (sorry, when) I meet the cast, I would certainly not want to meet them knowing that I'd paid money to buy a magazine devoted solely to the show. However, buying individual issues -- with alternate covers available only to select comic book stores -- seemed to be within the realm of reason. Sorta. Kinda. Plus, I'm going to extend my Prison Break paper to publication length and thus I need to do important research ... Whatever, I'm extremely obsessed. There, I said it!

There are currently about 320 deer and their grazing is essential to maintain the high wildlife value of the park's grasslands. Unlike cutting, grazing creates more variation in structure and plant diversity and does not damage the anthills, which add further diversity and character to the grassland.
The herds are kept out of the Woodland Gardens and other protected plantations in order to protect the trees and shrubs there. The Red Deer are the largest mammal native to the British Isles and in the summer their coats are glossy red. Fallow deer, introduced by the Romans, are smaller and their summer coats, usually spotted, vary from a cream to darkish brown colour.
During the autumn the deer 'rut' (breeding season) takes place. The Red stags and Fallow bucks compete for females (known as hinds and does respectively). At this time, the large males roar, bark and clash antlers in a spectacular way in an attempt to fight off rivals and attract as many females as possible. The young are born May - July and are hidden by their mothers amongst the bracken and long grass. The young are very vulnerable at this time and their mothers, being sensitive to disturbance, will defend their babies
