Roadside attention-getter rollicks all day among the street festival turnout. In this particular setting, the thing seemed generally to be regarded as an obstacle to be stepped past, rather than as an attraction to be drawn to. But I am certain that such objects shall continue to cost-effectively drum up business @ carlots etc for many years to come.

Fire fighters continue to hose down the smouldering remants of the Shurgard self-storage warehouse in Purley Way, Croydon which was destroyed by a fire which started on 31 December 2018. The London Tram line borders the site and tram services between Mitcham Junction and Croydon were suspended for a number of days and resumed on 6 January 2019.
