.....the ex-bonded warehouse, now used at a self-storage facility, on the banks of The Cut near Cumberland Basin in Bristol.

Founded in 1907, ILG Electric Ventilating Company was headquartered in a 243,600 square-foot building at 2850 N. Pulaski Blvd. The building was designed by Alfred Alschuler. The company was sold to a Michigan-based HVAC company in 1991. Life Storage occupies much of the building Well Made, commercial, wholesale and retail framing company, is also a tenant.

This store popped up in the hood last summer. The orange sign seems to be visible from almost everywhere.

Too many elves this holiday season? Store 'em! No post tricks here, the sign actually burned out just before Thanksgiving.

Thanks to my friend Meg for the light drawing!

"The A. Macdonald Building is

historically significant for the role it played in the history of the storage and cartage of wholesale grocery goods in Edmonton to the mid–twentieth century. It was constructed in 1913 and named for Alexander Macdonald, president of the A. Macdonald Company of Winnipeg, whose Edmonton branch became one of the three largest grocery suppliers in northern Alberta."

Is the future of northwoods railroading found behind door number one, number two or number three? I don't recall how long this mini-storage shed has been here kitty-corner from the depot but it's a tidy little structure and I love the sign. Meanwhile the local has their train back together and will start their run back to Bradley momentarily. January 17, 2022.

I caught the painters on break in the middle of painting the word Assembly on the top of the building. This is a new self-storage building that I have been working on in Somerville, it is slated to open soon.
