Found myself with nothing to do tonight so spent 30 minutes coming up with this (10 mins of that was spent moving the bleedin kitchen furniture about) nothing amazing but have always wanted to give something like this a try.

I wanted large areas of darkness so as to hightlight whatever body part was the subject of the photo.

It may be snowing like a mofo outside, but I have flowers indoors to remind me that spring is on its way (eventually, I hope).

Latest Selfpotrait session I've done, used BrickTop of Snatch the film as inspiration, very notable in some of the pictures.

Well I'm a bit late posting this to the group as work has gone mad. No time to stop for lunch or grab a much needed coffee. Having to rely on colleagues to grab me one when they go themselves. Was late for dinner to with my good friends including Ros who's over from the States for a visit. But hoping to see her tonight too.

Updating this text from a train into London for an all day meeting. Then some festive drinks to follow. Have got my camera so will attempt a shot at some point later. Who know's what of though! Looking forward to seeing the Christmas lights!

Back to this picture then, I took it hoping to show my new green eyeshadow - but weirdly liked the sun and shadow effect... Plus ran out of time. Lol.

Struggling to post comments on others pics at moment but will catch up soon as I can. :-)

Finally, I found this.

There have been better today.

Thankfully I caught a highlight for the self-portrait.

We went to our friends' son's 3rd birthday party. They live in Harrisburg, but the party was in Hershey, PA at the Antique Auto Museum. It is a pretty far drive for a day trip. At least it is with a three-year-old.

Thanks to faulty directions which included roads that no longer exist, it took us about three hours to get there and Joe & I were ready to kill each other. Add to that the spontaneous nonsensical chatter from Abby, and you've got a recipe for bad moods.

The party itself, although we arrived about 90 minutes late, was nice. The museum was cool. I thought, "OK, maybe we'll be in a better mood." Nope.

The directions we got on the way back weren't really any better. Ended up going about 20 miles out of our way. Joe was so pissed off. So tense. So aggravated.

After we got home (well, to my parents' house b/c Abby was staying there) the bickering continued, and eventually led up to us just not talking to each other.

after that, the evening was filled with intermittent one word answers.

Lately I don’t think of you at all

Or wonder what you’re up to

Or how you’re getting on

I never think of calling you

Or how things could have been

Or wonder where you sleep at night

Or whose arms you wake in

I’m living alone, living alone.....

Went back to work today after 4 weeks off (3 weeks off sick and 1 week holiday) Still not 100% but trying to get some normality back (and still trying to avoid that operation if I can help it!)

Was very tired - so didn't work a full day. Doc's appointment at the end of the day for more medication.

PS I know this is overexposed but I figured an overexposed picture was better than no picture! And it hides the bags under my eyes!!

Bed early!!! :-)
