Well, maybe not a costume...

...but I've always found bodies with animal heads to be intensely evocative...

One of the things that kept me busy and off of Flickr was a photography course I took in the fal. It was a great course with a great teacher (Eric Boutlier Brown), and our final project was ten images with some kind of link. I went with a self-portrait based on ten objects that tell something about me.

...We'll walk around

Pretending we're all grown up

Hey, rich girl!

Well, can you tell me why

You're so stuck up? ...

The virgins.

graphic realaboration: mine

The winning days are gone

Because I know just where I'm seeing

Was given eyes I know

I can hear

Cause underneath there's gold

I need to get around to find it

And when I want to go

I can dream

I've been trying

All my time

I'm just seeing it rise

Cause it could be the land that's over me

So I just wanna let it breathe

The winning days are gone

Because I know just where I'm seeing

Was given eyes I know

I can hear

Cause underneath there's gold

I need to get around to find it

And when I want to go

I can dream

I've been trying

All my time

I'm just seeing it rise

Cause it could be the land that's over me

So I just wanna let it breathe for now

Get up and go outside

It can help your mind too

Get up don't hide away

Cause I know where there's gold

(Get up and go outside)

I didn't know when I was flying

(It can help your mind too)

I'm sinking like a stone

(Get up don't hide away)

I can dream

I've been trying...

The Vines - Winning Days

Many times I have thought

Many times I was sure

That I needed no one else

No one else but myself

No one else that could bring me more meaning to my life

Now I stand here before you

With my heart in my hands

The truth has caught me

And I found that...

Chorus:

No man that has ever lived

Could do it all by himself

In search of peace of mind

This wisdom is all that you find

You need someone to love

You need someone to trust

You cannot do it alone

You need someone to love

You need someone to trust

You cannot do it alone

Many times I've been told

Many times I was told

That no man can stand alone

I need you

Here with me baby, baby

I need you here with me to guide me through the night

Now I stand here before you

With my heart in my hands

And I'm not too proud to show it

Cause I found that

Chorus:

No man that has ever lived

Could do it all by himself

In search of peace of mind

This wisdom is all that you find

You need someone to love

You need someone to trust

You cannot do it alone

You need someone to love

You need someone to trust

You cannot do it alone

Things you see in Central Park... I was tempted to walk up to her and offer to help getting the shot, but felt too British about it.

... taking a "selfie" at the Christmas market at Marienplatz in Munich before, no doubt, setting off to bring gifts to a newborn in a barn.

I finish school in 4 days, and summer also starts in 4 days :D But today was cold. I may delete this...

"Soy esa mujer que habita entre sombras.

Que te agarra de la espalda,

y tira de ti hasta la perdición.

Soy peor que las drogas,

peor que el dinero;

soy peor que la última copa que cierra el bar.

Tengo la piel del color de los muertos

para camuflarme entre tus sábanas;

No intento manchar mi imagen,

tan solo salvarte de mi locura,

o salvarme a mi…

Me in my living room. I took three shots in diffrent exposures to make a higher dynamic range of the shot. Then I worked on a bit more in Photoshop to create this final result.

Interrupting all programmes

This is Radio Clash from pirate satellite

Orbiting your living room

Cashing in the bill of rights

Cuban army surplus

Or refusing all third lights

This is Radio Clash on pirate satellite

This sound does not subscribe to the international plan

In the psyco shadow of the white right hand

Them that see ghettology as an urban Vietnam

Giving deadly exhibitions of murder by napalm

This is Radio Clash

Tearing up the seven veils

This is Radio Clash

Please save us, not the whales

This is Radio Clash

Underneath a mushroom cloud

This is Radio Clash

You don't need that funeral shroud

Forces have been looting

My humanity

Curfers have been curbing

The end of liberty

Hands of law have sorted through

My identity

But now this sound is brave

And wants to be free

Anyway to be free

This is Radio Clash on pirate satellite

This is not Free Europe

Nor an armed force network

This is Radio Clash

Using audio ammunition

This is Radio Clash

Can we get that world to listen?

This is Radio Clash

Using aural ammunition

This is Radio Clash

Can we get that world to listen?

This is Radio Clash on pirate satellite

Cashing in the bill of rights

Happy Valentine's Day you rogues and fuggers (and the rest of you)!

I was trying to think of something to rival last year's shot but it didn't quite come to plan. I have posted the effort as an alt.

Looking back, it seems that my photos are getting worse from what I was doing this time last year. I think I'll link in my photos from a year ago each day, just to give me a kick up the backside. I have been quite lazy with the project recently and it certainly shows.

Unable so lost,

I can't find my way,

Been searching, but I have never seen,

A turning, a turning from deceit.

‘Cause the child roses like,

Try to reveal what I could feel,

I can't understand myself anymore,

‘Cause I'm still feeling lonely,

Feeling so unholy.

‘Cause the child roses like,

Try to reveal what I could feel,

And this loneliness,

It just won't leave me alone, oh no.

I'm fooling somebody,

A faithless path to roam,

Deceiving to breath this secretly,

A silence, this silence I can't bear.

‘Cause a child roses light,

Try to reveal what I could feel,

And this loneliness,

It just won't leave me alone, oh no,

And this loneliness,

It just won't leave me alone.

A lady of war,
