We all miss the selfless, unconditional or "free" love in our lives. Don't we? But this person is all about family, friendship and love. The people in the mountains lead a tough life yet they are so soft-hearted and tender. Always ready to give and share. Hope the feeling comes across with these two images.
Watch out this space for more images and feel free to share.

Would anyone want to give such a well intentioned card to a beggar? Would those who only really wanted cash for booze, fags or drugs get nasty if given such a card? Maybe there are other reasons to dump this idea. On the other hand maybe it will inspire someone to something better that will work.

APD HONORS OUR SELFLESS VOLUNTEERS #CommunityCommitment
This evening, we honored a special segment of our APD police family at the 36th Annual Volunteer Banquet. Our more than 400 volunteers completed some 36,000 hours of service in 2017. Our volunteers make it possible for our Officers and Career Services personnel to do their jobs efficiently. The sacrifice that our volunteers make on a daily basis is in undoubtedly in furtherance of the Aurora Police Department’s mission and distinctly reflects upon the community which we collectively serve.
We are proud to have such wonderful volunteers as a part of our blue family!

Leo and I are looking for pieces of art to fill our new home. We have nothing except a few photos and old college posters. Our only rule is we want to support independent artists, preferably locally, and we have to love the piece.
Leo's long been a skateboarder/surfer/snow boarder/strap crap to feet and hurtle down a hill person. We saw this at a live show the other night and Leo and I both loved it, right away.

My selfless quest continues! Granada is one of the last bastions of free tapas and, apparently, has over 500 bars - possibly urban legend, but I'll accept that figure for now! Herewith continues my attempt to visit and photograph every single bar & cafe.
This is the delightful and bijou Taberna Gamboa. Great wines and as is the rule in Granada, free tapas. Arpi particularly likes their house Rueda.

A man who is kind
A man who is selfless
A man who had pain
A man now at ease
A man who sees good
A man who sees goals
A man who is determined
A man who is calm
A man can do good
A man can do bad
This man can do no harm
This man is a man
Out of all the friends I have
Out of all the friends who have passed
This is one friend i am proud to say
Everyone loves you man!

2010 Selfless Senior, Alexandra Mirabal, is president of Sandia’s Community Service Initiative, which has spent time cleaning the Rio Grande and collecting items for U.S. troops. She also is a member of the Gay-Straight Alliance, which provides high school students a safe environment in which to discuss discrimination. Alexandra listens carefully and allows her peers to discuss their ideas openly. She can be counted on to help her classmates, organize social action activities and stand up for the just treatment of her peers.
A Selfless Senior is a student who gives back to her community, who hasn’t been recognized by her high school, who has made a positive impact on others facing difficulties and whose character sets her apart.

Sandy Lake Recreation Area would like to thank McGregor High School's Student Council for helping us with campground clean-up efforts! We had 8 students and their teacher assisting us on Sunday April 22, 2017. The students accomplished cleaning and placing Sandy's recycling bins, cleaning out fire pits, and washing all of the picnic tables. They were a great group of students to work with! Volunteers are essential to the St. Paul District’s mission. They play an invaluable role in selflessly giving their time to help the district meet our environmental stewardship, education, recreation and navigation missions.
