(No Altruism here! In Fakt I do enjoy strong, independent Personalities with a healthy Self-konfidence, even Pride - if they have Reason! Yet I laugh about the "Stars & Starlets" - or more korrekt: Attention-Addikts - of todays World: how Less is needed to kount as a famous Person...;) Seems the easiest Thing in the World to get your Face in TV, the Name in the Papers and your Life into the Publik - but is this desirable? Is a Deed more worth with plenty of Viewers? or is a Work more valuable with a huge Audience knowing it?
Does a Stone, thrown in a lonely Lake, make no Rings to the Water?
The Poverty of our Time - the so kalled Age of "Individualism & personal Freedom" - is:
all want to be different, but no one aktual is! They feel like having the Freedom of Choice, kause they kan vote demokratikally for the Party they like - but they overlook the Fakt that there are only (up to) 5 Parties offered at all! Or the young Generation and their "Self-aktualization" throughout Klothes and Brands they buy to show that they belong to this or that Group: they selekt on their own, yet always from the same "10 affiliated Groups of Kompanies" (Brands & Labels)... where is the individual Decision in that?
And finally, if there really is a rare Akt of an Individual (Personality), the typikal Behaviour of the Publik (Mainstream) is either to adopt the "new Thing" konverting the real Expression of Individualism into a market-suitable Trend/ Produkt... or they antagonize the Single-phenomenon as natural Enemy to their Groupformation, Lobby, Party etc. ... punish the brave Maverick with Denial, kause they are afraid of any Alterity...

After this Kontemplation I always wonder about the Rumour of the "Will for Freedom" you kan find in all Parts of History, in every Realm: maybe it is just another Konstrukt to sedate us, to simply have an Antagonist or an unachievable Ideal, therewith we kan enjoy the Ease of the Herd free from Kares? or is there really a Will for Independents in some of us? - I´m undecided about that, but in this "Age of Aktors" it seems more interesting & alluring to preserve the own Inkognito - and not get famous! (more challenging as it sounds, since Fame is a mighty Seducer, waiting for you around evey Korner of this modern World... ;)

It's a fantastic phrase that I've found in the Passion Planner I bought one year ago.. Sometimes we struggle because we don't know where we are going or because we are not sure of our choices..
But actually, if each day we stop for a second and we ask ourselves "are you happy, satisfied and proud of what are you doing?" instantly our mind comes to an answer.
It's not hard to ear it, it's hard to accept it.
So do your best, do what you want and you truly will end up where you are meant to be!

You build karate and life at the same time. You grow spiritually and physically at once. Individual change comes through self-study. Then you find your own special techniques — and you find yourself. The final goal of training is to act against any opponent with maximum efficiency.
1-2 out of every 100 students reach Black Belt and of those only 1 out of every 1,000 achieves his 2nd Dan.
So yeah, nothing really interesting happened today. Oh wait, yes! Something DID happen haha. But that's after.
So, I went to karate today and it was the promotional for the lower ranks. It was the same as any other promotional. But at the end of every year, they count up everyone's classes and see who has the most. Teaching classes do not count. I got the highest with 138 =) But with all the teaching, it's about... 155 or so maybe. I only started going everyday over the summer way before my Nidan promotional, but I've been going every since because I've realized how much I love and need karate.
So yeah, my karate instructor congratulated me and thanked me for everything I've done for him. I would do anything for him on a dime. Or a penny =)
OKAY! So for the interesting part. Well, it's nothing exciting, but it was the highlight of my day. So, after school I decided to go and talk about my midterm with my History teacher. I'll call him... Mr. Man. That works. Anyway - So we talked about my midterm for about a half an hour, and I only lost points on the multiple choice and essays. I missed two multiple choice questions, and got threes instead of fours on the essays. When he read my DBQ he figured it to be a four, so he's taking it to his supervisor to revise it and give me a four, which will bump my midterm into the 90's =) My average is still a 96, so I'm still happy hah.
And then after that we just started talking about colleges because I told him I wanted to get into teaching history. We talked about college and grad school and things like that.
After the student that needed to talk to him left, we just kinda kept talking until 4.30 about random things. We talked about college, family, life, weapons, movies, people, history, photography, etc. It was nice, haha. We laughed and joked around. I like him. Mr. Man is a cool guy. So it was like, 2 SOLID hours of just... talking =)
Anyway, that was my day. I dunno a song that would go with this...

i did this after watching How To Look Good Naked. it gave me a bit of a selfconfidence boost and i decided to concentrate on photographing something i like about myself.

Today there was parents evening in Antony's school. We talked with different teachers about the situation in the class and we got some very useful hints for the future. Nevertheless, beside the lectureship school is also a kind of punishment and gratification institution which is very disputable. Everything is aligned to boost the self-confidence not the feeling of self-worth of a human being... but this is only my humble opinion and nothing more. Thanks folks for following my s**t on flickr.
