Hello! Where are you from?
Thank you for putting this little one on EXPLORE. I am sure it will help her to find more selfconfidence. LOL
¿quien otro podria brindar refugio?

Karate is a way of life which teaches self-confidence, health, and physical strength. Every effort in karate teaches you … commitment … for any task in life. You build karate and life at the same time. You grow spiritually and physically at once. Individual change comes through self-study. Then you find your own special techniques — and you find yourself. The final goal of training is to act against any opponent with maximum efficiency.
1-2 out of every 100 students reach Black Belt and of those only 1 out of every 1,000 achieves his 2nd Dan.
So yeah, nothing really interesting happened today. Oh wait, yes! Something DID happen haha. But that's after.
So, I went to karate today and it was the promotional for the lower ranks. It was the same as any other promotional. But at the end of every year, they count up everyone's classes and see who has the most. Teaching classes do not count. I got the highest with 138 =) But with all the teaching, it's about... 155 or so maybe. I only started going everyday over the summer way before my Nidan promotional, but I've been going every since because I've realized how much I love and need karate.
So yeah, my karate instructor congratulated me and thanked me for everything I've done for him. I would do anything for him on a dime. Or a penny =)
OKAY! So for the interesting part. Well, it's nothing exciting, but it was the highlight of my day. So, after school I decided to go and talk about my midterm with my History teacher. I'll call him... Mr. Man. That works. Anyway - So we talked about my midterm for about a half an hour, and I only lost points on the multiple choice and essays. I missed two multiple choice questions, and got threes instead of fours on the essays. When he read my DBQ he figured it to be a four, so he's taking it to his supervisor to revise it and give me a four, which will bump my midterm into the 90's =) My average is still a 96, so I'm still happy hah.
And then after that we just started talking about colleges because I told him I wanted to get into teaching history. We talked about college and grad school and things like that.
After the student that needed to talk to him left, we just kinda kept talking until 4.30 about random things. We talked about college, family, life, weapons, movies, people, history, photography, etc. It was nice, haha. We laughed and joked around. I like him. Mr. Man is a cool guy. So it was like, 2 SOLID hours of just... talking =)
Anyway, that was my day. I dunno a song that would go with this...
"Are you still lost tonight?
Living but dead inside
This is the proclamation
This is the call to rise
Are you abused alone?
Walking with broken bones
If you feel you’ve been forgotten
Let this song guide you home
We are the disillusioned
We’ve been left wanting more
Before every aspiration
Hits the floor
Hold on for your life
All we feel is so far from alive
The damned are done believing
And the cursed can dream no more
So hold on for your life
Because only the strong survive
They tell you what you should be
They sell you the plastic dreams
Opinions are all provided
But nothing is what it seems
I dare you take control
Cause empty are hands
And bruised are the souls
Of those who show no resistance
Of those who are weak below
We are the disenchanted
Who die with each passing day
No one here understands us
So I say
Hold on for your life
All we feel is so far from alive
The damned are done believing
And the cursed can dream no more
So hold on for your life
Because only the strong survive
How will it feel?
To live your life Until your dying day
Where nothing is real
As we sacrifice
Bending until we break
It’s been revealed
Hold on for your life
Dreams are not theirs to take
Dreams are not theirs to take
Hold on for your life
All we feel is so far from alive
The damned are done believing
And the cursed can dream no more
So hold on for your life
Because only the strong survive"

so arrogant
your worst is the best
it's so easy
to make a fucked-up mistake
and walk away
just like it was
or move away
miles between us
if i ever forget
it was never so perfect
such a boring story told
you make me feel so old
but confident
so arrogant
your worst is the best
it's so easy
to make a fucked-up mistake
and walk away
just like it was
or move away
miles between us
Your worst is the best, I love you but I've chosen Darkness
My worst is the best.
i did this after watching How To Look Good Naked. it gave me a bit of a selfconfidence boost and i decided to concentrate on photographing something i like about myself.
selfesteem.dove.co.za/Articles/Video/Sticks_and_Stones_sh... | The old saying ‘sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me’ really doesn’t ring true for most people, especially for pre-teen and teenage girls. Unfortunately, growing up, we are often completely oblivious when it comes to the impact that our words have on others’ self-confidence and self-esteem. Watch this video to see how your words can affect your friends, and how to change the way in which you verbalise your thoughts and feelings in order to help your friends feel confident rather than embarrassed or uncomfortable.

Artist Marco Cochrane created the statue "Bliss Dance" in 2010. He displayed the statue at Burning Man that year. "Bliss Dance" is now the centerpiece of The Park on the Las Vegas Strip. The statue is 40 feet tall, made of stainless steel, and weighs 7,500 pounds. "Bliss Dance" is meant to symbolize female strength, self-confidence and expression. Deja Solis was the model for the statue.
selfesteem.dove.co.za/Articles/Video/The_Mum_Translator_h... | This video has been created as a tool for strengthening mother-daughter relationships, providing teenage girls with some insight into why mum sometimes says the things she does. For instance, when she says ‘You’re not going out dressed like that, are you?’, she isn’t trying to make you feel bad about yourself or damage your self-confidence. In reality, she is saying ‘You look so grown up, and that worries me sometimes’. Be sure to watch the video to discover translations to even more common ‘mum phrases’.

Possibly I caught in this series one of the first attempts to fly of this juvenile jay. Later on on the same day it tried to fly from exactly the same branch, seemingly with growing selfconfidence. Please have a look at all six shots of this series. (In the photostream the order is in reverse, in the album is the right chronology.

Today there was parents evening in Antony's school. We talked with different teachers about the situation in the class and we got some very useful hints for the future. Nevertheless, beside the lectureship school is also a kind of punishment and gratification institution which is very disputable. Everything is aligned to boost the self-confidence not the feeling of self-worth of a human being... but this is only my humble opinion and nothing more. Thanks folks for following my s**t on flickr.

Photograph taken at 10:46am on Thursday 24th April 2014 in the heart of Leicester Square, Central London, WC2.
I had to react quickly, walking as I took the shot, as the guy sauntered through the bemused crowd, his radiant red top hat a magnet for attention and curiosity. Cool and self confident, he took the bemused looks in his stride.

My most recent moments of self doubt and anxiety have been caused in part by how old I am. It's been three years since I first went to the University of Victoria. Had I stuck with my original plan I'd be finishing a degree this summer. Instead I quit. I felt too much pressure, stopped going to one of my classes and failed a final. This is the first time I've ever admitted that publicly. I've been so afraid to go back after what happened that I've just been coasting through, riding off my parents coattails. I keep telling myself it's okay because I'm working, but if my family decided to kick me out I wouldn't be able to afford the price of rent and food. I'm twenty years old now and I'm still reliant on others. You would think by now that I would be able to have my own standing in the world, or at least be better known in my career as a photographer but one of the reasons I started the 365 is because I wasn't getting any work from that career. No one seems to want me for the one thing I'm good at and it hurts.
