20th April 2008

I was required to take a photo of myself recently, and I actually liked the way it turned out so I'm uploading it. And yes, it is a true self portrait, meaning that I did not even have anyone else push the shutter release, it was completely done by me.

Yep...the weekends have still been messing me up for school. Thank goodness this is my last year of having to wake up daily at 5:30am when I could be fast asleep! You are looking at the face of a brand new morning coffee addict! :) oh yeah this is sooc!

Today is theme day for the daily photo family. The theme is to a self portrait in our favorite location. Without a doubt August Grill is our favorite restaurant. So with this portrait we toast all of our readers and thank you for visiting.

Everything I'm wearing has been previously owned by another person. Taken for the Self-Portrait Challenge.

Hand, shadow. A day of much activity, little achievement. November 2006

This one I took recently when I was in crisis. I'm still there but I am working through it. When your in the throws of it, your world feels incredibly small and full of pain. Everything is confusing and it feels like no one hears you.

This is my 1st self-portrait on flickr!...

On the occasion of a new haircut.

This was taken in front of a metal cylinder in front of the church.

This is the final version of an image thats been though around 10 variations. This final one I found by accident a couple of layers down in photoshop.

OK I'll bite, popo suggested this was one of my best images, and only one out of my last 3 of my own fraves has made the grade. So lets see if someone elses view of my own images is better than mine. Personally I think this is contrived and overdone like most of the images I photoshop. So Deleteme

this was taken for the assignment "Portrait without Self"

found a fragile, frost-coved leaf this morning while walking with romping dogs through the barely-snowy woods. overcome by the profundity of change that is occurring on so many levels--sparkling, even in its disintegration.

this constant state of loss and regeneration has, i suppose, something to do with what makes things so undeniably beautiful.

Diary of a Self Portrait. :: 365 Days of Self Portraits :: A Challenge

I have recently left my job, and therefore have a lot of free time. I decided today that it would be a good time to get used to using my new studio lights and practice some more with them... unfortunately I had no models, and therefore had to pose myself. The poses suck I know, but it was still good practice!

It is very difficult to get out of the picture when taking photos of shiny objects

just can't put the camera down.. photo taken while waiting for the afternoon tea snacks to be served :-)

Decided to get a little creative (I can say that somewhere this has been done.. but I havent seen it yet)... this is me!
