Amazing day today...near 60 and sunny so I went location scouting and decided to try out some off-camera flash techniques and high-speed sync.

Welll.. I have seen many folk do this on flickr.. and tbh i think its a pretty good idea.. no one knows what i look like :) i couldnt do this with my 50mm because its manual.. and to be frank thats alot of faffing about.. so here i am :) took by my standard lens pretty simple background not my best photo but still!
I'm NOT a painter. I did take one drawing & painting class in college years ago. This is a new approach/process I'm trying in creating a self portrait in glass. I'm much better at cutting tiny slivers of glass than painting a thin line! Have already learned a lot about tones & shading with this exercise.
Any tips or constructive criticism from my artist/painter friends will be greatly appreciated.

Jake told me my hair was sticking up so I started to be all self conscious about it. Then he told me it wasn't that bad. So I took a photo to see.

Ok i climbed into my dogs bed under the table where she was sleeping and i woke her up to try and take some "self portraits" (sticking the camera out at full arms length and pointing =it towards us) of us for Spunmonkey's thread. She decided to go mental instead and started licking me like crazy. Here i am laughing my head off while she licks me furiously. Sorry u can see up my nose. Apart from that its kinda cute.

I noticed that the light coming in through my window was especially bright, used a homemade reflector made of tinfoil and a piece of cardboard to bounce some of the light onto my face. Used a blue-green B&W filter in post to bring out some of the freckles and skin texture. Completely unflattering but interesting all the same.

Standing in the hallway today getting the kids ready to go to bed I caught my shadow. I have 17 days left of this pregnancy and so I hollered to my husband to grab the camera. Very tricky. This is also very un-edited. I was just curious as to what y'all thought.
