Today was fantastic - waffles, friends, good talks, Chinese food and popsicles. Yup. Good day.
The picture behind me is also an artist's self portrait. it makes an interesting backdrop

Man, I haven't posted a photo in a while. Here is a self portrait double exposure just to keep my photo stream active...
I know I look serious but I have wanted to do a self-portrait since I got flickr. So at last!
The number of photos I took is a little ridiculous. (around 300.)
That's almost embarrassing but that's how completely UN-photogenic I am.
Matt also did his self-portrait...!
This self-portrait buisness is very time consuming...I may do it again, but in quite a while from now! : )
On a more positive note, enjoy your weekend! : )
I've been trying to do a self portrait for a while. This is as close to something that I'm willing to post as I've gotten, so far. I generally look about 10 years younger than I am. This is no exception, especially since the gray that's been creeping into my hair is engulfed by the lighting.
This self portrait was shot about a year ago, but finally edited a few days ago.
Looking at my photostream, It appears I have a fetish for high contrast black and whites.... I've got some colors that will be showing up soon. lol
I am on the right side, walking up the mountain. I added things I enjoy, like camping, television, which is representative of a lot of things such as video games, movies etc. The animals, including my cat and some birds were animals I enjoy, and I liked the picture of the dog I found online, and of course I like dogs. The mountains kind of lead you around the image, and your eyes are drawn toward the tent, which helps you locate other things like myself.
The weather is bloody awful at the moment so I am not getting out to take many photos which irks me somewhat, so up goes the tripod and it's self portrait time.
I used my 580 EXII camera right to give a bit of fill in light, 1/32 power if I remember correctly.
I haven't posted a self portrait in a while. Just a simple one for now. I like it, I guess. I've gotten a bunch of new contacts in the past month so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Jordyn and I'm 16 years old. I love photography and it is definitely my passion. I'm highly considering pursuing it as a career but time will tell.
Messing around with my camera's self-timer and speedlite 199A. I think I used a little too much flash, but am happy with the composition.
The Netherlands-Polder Westzaan
Self-heal (Prunella vulgaris-Gewone brunel) is a herbaceous plant in the mint family Lamiaceae. The species is edible: the young leaves and stems can be eaten raw in salads and the plant as a whole can be boiled and eaten as a leaf vegetable. This perennial herb is native in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America, and is common in most temperate climates. Image made in nature reserve Polder Westzaan. © Tom Kisjes July 2021
