I was due for an update, plus I needed one for my school profile page.
I went a little wider on the focal length, just for a slightly different look...I've been abusing the 135 lately.
Strobist:
550EX thru 'brella left of cam, on axis with face
LP160 bare, back and right for the kick on the side of my face
LP160, HONL grid behind me for the grid spot on the BG.
Kick and Spot were about the same power with the 'brella three stops above.

I haven't done a self portrait for awhile, so I put a found piece of sheetrock to use last night. I think I want to add more to this one, but I'm going to put it to the side and come back to it. Although, part of me wants to leave it as is, and chalk it up as another study in the process of developing this style.

Project 365/6 Explore highest #473 I dicovered camera toss today (thank you flickr) and had to try it out. This will have to suffice as a first attempt. Hopefully i will improve. Shot in low light levels, with the safety of my bed to break the camera's fall. Light source through purple cutains. Self timer used and camera tossed with an attempt at spin just before exposure.

430EX in a small shoot through umbrella 1/8 power for fill with 1/2 CTO gel, camera left.
Visico 600W Studio strobe at 15% power thru medium softbox several feet in front of me almost at 90 degrees to prevent blowing out the black backdrop (need a grid).
Snooted SB24 at 1/1 behind upper right.
