i dismantled an old digital camera.

Cut off all the hair on the right side of my head. It's so fun. :)

Because all "serious artists" have to do one. ;-p

[Triangular trans-clear LEGO kaleidoscope. The reflections aren't that interesting, but there's a nice bit of neckline floating above my head like a party hat.]

This is me and all the emptyness that I feel. . .

I'm inspired by Mariya's (@mariyakey of 365Project.org) self portraits, so I decided to use today's business headshot as my picture of the day.

This is the first self shot I've ever taken.

Nikon D600 and Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR lens, exposed for 1/15 second on manual exposure at f/4.5, ISO 400. Remote triggered via infrared with a 2 second exposure delay. Off-camera Nikon SB-700 flash to camera left as a back fill light to separate the black background from the black blazer. Basic exposure adjustments and blemish removal in Lightroom 4, additional blemish removal in Photoshop CS6. Final portait edits done in Portrait Professonal.

A self-portrait mosaic project, 96x96 I completed over winter break for a school project. Took roughly 3 weeks to complete in its entirety. Tried to use different techniques this time around by dithering colors for a blended effect in some areas and a third layer in some cases. I like how it turned out :)

Stuff on the right was to answer: What is important to you? Stuff on the left was to answer: How will that affect your RA journey? (as I am a Resident Assistant at my school)

I took this while waiting for the elevator in the Westin Peachtree in downtown Atlanta. I looked in the mirror and thought the aura of light around my head was kind of cool. I just like it better red, well because I love red, and it also reminds me of my company and the work function I was heading to that evening. I work with awesome people, for a great company, and once again our firm is giving back by partnering with the World Wildlife Fund to protect the arctic home of polar bears. .

Our iconic red cans will turn white soon, check out www.arctichome.com.

Also, I actually got to meet and take a photo with the President and CEO of Coca-Cola Refreshments, Steve Cahillane, at the event. Great guy, and it was truly an honor to meet him. I told him how much something he said in a meeting over a year ago meant to me. He sincerely seemed to appreciate it, and it made me wish I'd e-mailed him and told him sooner.

Hugs and thanks for viewing! =o)

A self portrait using my new triggers and a simple one light shoot through.

Hmmm... I think you cross over into unnecessarily-wannabe-artsy when

you start taking self-portraits. Actually, I was walking out the door

(note the coat and headphones) when I realized I was on the verge of a

Flock of Seagulls hair style. A moment later the picture was taken,

and I got to play with some photoshop tonight.

As long as I can have you here with me

I'd much rather be

I think it is cliche to photograph oneself in a mirror looking through a camera. I've seen many of these side-mirror shots too. However, it was picture number zero on the roll, and I didn't know if the camera would work or not, so it was just for fun.

So a small, potentially temporary addition to my photographic arsenal requires a new trendy self-portrait. Note self-portrait and spider fingers. ;)

My self-portrait using my regular scratchy & emotive style. I enjoyed drawing this, using 2B & 4B pencil to differentiate tone and features from one another.

New self portrait shot for my social media stuff. Love doing portrait shots when I can; every new one has a totally different mood and expression.
