One yongnuo yn 560 ii flash on slave mode fired by on camera flash, using on flash small fotodiox 6x9" modifier. Shutter released using Canon connect phone app with 10 second timer.
Self-portraits are so difficult to look at. Just like singers often hate the sound of their own voice, I thin photographers often hate the look at of their own face. Yet, self-portraits can help you become a better photographer in so many ways. This portrait is no different.

I want to start my 365 project. Maybe it's a little bit late, but I do it for the love of photography. For all I made for these years. Now I want to say thank u for all people, for all mistakes and good moments. I appreciate all that. I hope that this project will help me to connect more with myself and to grow up more with photography. I know that I can be better, so i hope I will in the end..I will always appreciate all your comment. Thank U.

Self-harm or deliberate self-harm includes self-injury and self-poisoning and is defined as the intentional, direct injuring of body tissue without suicidal intent. The most common form of self-harm is skin cutting but self-harm also covers a wide range of behaviours including burning, scratching, banging or hitting body parts, interfering with wound healing, hair pulling (trichotillomania) and the ingestion of toxic substances or objects. Behaviours associated with substance abuse and eating disorders are usually not considered self-harm because the resulting tissue damage is ordinarily an unintentional side effect. However, the boundaries are not always clear-cut and in some cases behaviours that usually fall outside the boundaries of self-harm may indeed represent self-harm if performed with explicit intent to cause tissue damage. Although suicide is not the intention of self-harm, the relationship between self-harm and suicide is complex, as self-harming behaviour may be potentially life-threatening.
The other day I did my first self portrait. Mainly i didnt have anybody to shoot and wanted to try some lighting techniques. I wanted to get the light to mainly surround me. It worked for the most part. did a bit of pp work to help that out.
The texture is just a shot of grass desaturated and with the brightness bough right up.

Well, I have survived the challenging, fulfilling, tough, aggravating, joyful, horrendous
process we call Thesis.
I will be an official graduate from Pacific Northwest College of Art on May 24th when I get to walk and receive my Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts.
What started out as a series of large scale portraits in graphite and soft colored pencil honoring the Goddess, her strength and her beauty, developed into a personal journey to overcome being diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Ulcerative Colitis and reconnect to the beauty within myself and my art.
I have created 7 portraits: Here is Amaterasu, the Japanese Shinto sun goddess, ruler of the Plain of Heaven, whose name means 'shining heaven' or 'she who shines in the heavens. She is the central figure in the Shinto pantheon and the Japanese Imperial family claims descent from her. She was so bright and radiant that her parents sent her up the Celestial Ladder to heaven, where she has ruled ever since. To this very day, the Japanese honor Amaterasu with their national flag.
Amaterasu is seen from the waist up and is in the center of the deep permanent yellow, pure orange, and pure kaput mortuum covered page. These colors signify the sun.
She is dressed as a traditional Geisha in a kimono with her hair pulled back in a
traditional chignon and ornamented with flowers, hair pins, combs and beads. A few
strands of hair sweep across her face which signifies her free spiritedness.
Amaterasu gazes towards the left and holds the handle of an open parasol in her right hand. The round parasol mimics the shape of the sun and it’s rays.
Be expecting six more goddesses to appear soon :)

Single sheet origami twist box, 4 sided version designed by Angel Ecija Blanco. That original design can actually be applied to any n-sided twist box. I think the opening and closing is actually smoother if you choose a 6 sided or 8 sided box.

Self-portrait using the 7Artisans 35mm F1.2 lens at F16 (distance is about one meter); one daylight LED lamp; processed in Luminar and in macOS High Sierra. This is a tiny manual lens (no AF) that can produce very fine results if treated with some respect.
A szinapon önportrét is kell csinálni, nem is egyet. Próbálkoztam eltalálni az élességet, hogy a szemre essen. Nem volt egyszerű f1.4 mellett. Hetedszerre sikerült. Semmi blur nincs a képen, kizárólag az f1.4 miatt ilyen selymes a bőröm. :D A fényt a függünyön átszűrődő havas táj adta, mint egy termetes softbox.
És bár a képen nemigen látszik, soha nem volt még ekkora szakállam. Hiába, kell a bunda ebbe a nagy télbe. :)
