The collared lizard is an amazing creature ... one that I never had in Florida. Sure, there we were treated to many types of lizards or reptiles, big and small, some also colored quite brightly, some native and some not-so-native, but none impressed quite like this little guy. The first time I ever saw one, I was checking out a bird nearby and when I moved my binoculars, there it was. So brightly colored with those trademark rings around its neck. I was so excited to find it sunning itself, trying to get warm, while I was nearby trying to get cooler. Go figure. From the first time to the last, they still hold intrigue to me ... so steady and tolerant, yet so quick and nimble when it wants to. It can literally run on its hind legs! Love them. Happy Monday!

I saw these birds in a large puddle down at Hamilton waterfront. I had my large Sony with the large lens on (which was good) but no tripod to help steady the beast (which was not good)
Half of them good and half not.
Hearing of Glen Campbell's passing has bothered me. I do feel sad when any great musician passes, but he was seriously one very important musician. Part of the wrecking crew in L.A. and very influential. Good friend to Alice Cooper.
A horrible thing for a family to go through. His Daughter wrote this song and it is moving. You WILL get a tear in your eye.
