No photo year is complete without taking at least a couple photos of milkweed seeds and seed pods, LOL.

Large amounts of these seedpods appeared after a windy day, accumulating on the edge of the sidewalk.

They are so pretty at this stage, but I love them when they dry on the plant in Autumn & can be used as indoor decoration after the seeds have been removed!
It has been a tough week at work with Haiti earthquake and it is nice to float around the backyard and discover hidden treasures through my lens!
I've really enjoyed these this year and now that the flowers are over the seedpods are just as fascinating.
I found these little growths growing on the sides of dead reeds in a creek bed. Very cool. I'm assuming it's their seeds...
At the end of the honeysuckle vine the leaves join together into a cool really big round cup surrounding the flowers. I've never seen another plant that does this. Too bad I didn't snag a picture of the pretty and tasty orange flowers before they all of the sudden turned into these green seed pods.
