This strain was developed at OSU, and is seedless, low-acid, and delicious. I love them for salsa and tomato-basil salads.
Not!
I was half tempted to take it back to the store, but then I remembered the gas prices and figured I'd probably just break even. Ha.

Quick, as no sandwich etc to make. Do not worry about my lack of complex carbs. I had a scone for breakfast and pizza for dinner!
Only thing is the bean sprouts were a bit watery (should have drained them) so that got on the rest of the food a bit. Led me to lick my grapes before eating them! The veges were fine and it actually probably helped stop the carrot and cucumber from drying out. If I did it again, I might give the grapes a lettuce seperator. The clementine was fine as, you know, skin.
"Mom, do you want one?"
"Sure!"
"Ummmm...."
"Hey, do you want me to take a picture of them?"
"Yah!"
"O.K." I eagerly snap two shots.
"I know...you are going to get on the computer...."
"No I'm not."
"Oh..." he sounds deflated.
"Why?"
"I thought you were going to blog it."
Good idea, I think to myself. These kids, one minute they are running to the camera, the next they are running from it. And, they are learning the beauty of a bloggable moment! They are the greatest (my kids) and the blackberries were pretty sweet too!
I blogged this here: troublealwayshasadoor.blogspot.com/2006/06/first-seedless...
ngredients
Makes about 3 dozen sandwiches
3 one-pound loaves white sandwich bread, preferably unsliced
Wasabi, Salmon, and Lemon Cream Cheeses
Tea-Poached Chicken
1 large seedless cucumber (14 ounces), very thinly sliced
1/2 pound sliced smoked salmon
2 1/2 ounces fresh salmon roe
1 ounce black (or other color) caviar, optional
3 to 4 ounces baby leaf lettuce, such as mache, mizuma, shiso leaves, and sprouts
1 bunch fresh dill
1 bunch fresh chives
2 to 3 tablespoons black sesame seeds
2 to 3 tablespoons white sesame seeds
Directions
Trim crusts. Slice bread into 1/2-inch-thick pieces; each loaf should yield ten to twelve slices. Spread each slice with cream-cheese spread. Arrange ingredients on bread in decorative patterns. Sandwiches look best with chicken, cucumbers, and salmon arranged along edges of bread, overlapping slightly. Trim edges in straight lines, cutting through both bread and ingredients to leave clean edges on all sides. Make salmon sandwiches first, reserving trimmings for salmon cream cheese to use on other sandwiches. Tuck small green leaves in between layers. Keep sandwiches covered with damp cloth until serving. Refrigerate if not serving right away. Sandwiches are best eaten within 2 to 3 hours.
As you can imagine, Big Marty's buns are just as nice as little Marty's, though the latters are seedless.

My second favourite tropical fruit. Love it!
This one is from my mothers garden. It is a hybrid that has no seeds. I don't understand how it propagates but it tastes delicious.

People of Elkhart Co. The Horticulturists Program on Sat. May 13, 2017. On Sat., May 13, 2017, Patrick McGuire of the Elkhart County Historical Museum told of the three local men of Elkhart County who contributed to the reputation of Elkhart County as one of the places where science and industry came together to develop horticulture businesses that were International. Dr. Orie J. Eigsti, a Goshen scientist invented the seedless watermelon in 1937, during a study for a gout drug, discovering that the drug caused watermelons to not produce most of their seeds. 85% of watermelons sold today are from his development. Vernon Krider, was helped by locals B.F. Cathcart and George Milburn of Bristol and opened his nursery in 1906. based on quality of soil and the ease of transport on the railroad to ship products to Chicago and to the East Coast. He was famous for mailing over 250,000 catalogs, his gardens in the 1933 Century of Progress Exhibition, and his Thornless Roses. His nursery business continued after his death by family until it closed in 1990. His granddaughter, Dian Krider WIlkey, attended the event. The Krider Memorial Garden is still open in Middlebury. A book on the Garden is available on Amazon. A.E. Kunderd of Goshen, originated the Ruffled and Laciniated Gladioli in 1912, had extensive gardens there and sent out 300,000 mail order catalogs at the height of his business, which faded in later years.

Having a DSLR was sooo much better than anything else....Thanks to my friend's Girlfriend for sneaking it into the show.
I chose the Auto-Takumar 55 1.8 mainly because of it's tiny size....easily concealable in a small purse.
The Focal Length on the cropped sensor was nice...but I really wish I had a zoom lens.
This was also a good chance to practice my Manual Focus skills.
