An apt, and classically French way to advise visitors that the catacomb tour ends here.

This is taken on the pedestrian bridge over the Expressway in Central Birmingham. It is a great place to practice your long exposures. Especially if you want to put one in the 365 treasure hunt. The video cameras are keeping a watchful eye on us.

Usually, my shots are planned well in advance. I have a google map with all the spots I intend to visit on each trip, with notes saved for what angle to get, which gear to use, what time of day, and maybe an example image from another photographer.

This picture wasn't planned. I just saw the googly eyes and was like "quick give me your camera mine's in my bag." The googly eyes and the train were just too perfect. Pareidolia anyone?

Sunshine station in the golden hour, with my favourite local tree highlighted in the foreground.

This image attempts to capture a quintessential piece of modern infrastructure bathed in "golden hour" lighting, and attempting to create an interesting psychogeographic study of how institutional architecture interfaces with natural elements and human scale.

The most striking feature is the interplay between the organic and the constructed - large eucalyptus trees with their characteristic pale, twisted trunks lean into the frame, their leaves catching the warm sunset light. These trees have predated the building, and the architecture has been built around them, creating an unintentional dialogue between natural growth patterns and planned space.

The building itself represents typical contemporary institutional architecture - clean lines, metal and glass, elevated walkways, and security features like fencing and camera, cameras everywhere. There's a subtle tension between accessibility and control - while there's a welcoming pedestrian approach and bike parking visible, there are also clear boundaries marked by gates and fences.

The quality of light is particularly significant to the psychological experience of this space. The low-angle sunlight creates long shadows and gives the typically austere institutional architecture a momentary warmth, softening its edges. This transformation suggests how the same space can evoke different emotional responses depending on temporal conditions.

The curved pathway and the positioning of the trees create a natural leading line that draws people toward the entrance, while simultaneously providing a buffer between the hard architectural elements and the human experience of approaching the building. This design element subtly influences how people move through and relate to the space.

The overall composition considers the modern condition of navigating spaces that attempt to balance institutional functionality, security concerns, and human comfort - a common psychogeographic theme in contemporary urban environments.

Watching you, watching me in these paranoid times.

3rd day in a row with interesting altocumulus lenticularis clouds. This clip covers about 3 hours lapsed time.

On a pandemic shopping trip to Walmart's. Glad I was not taller, or I would have hit that hanging security camera.

It's already too late and Freeze attacks with his Freeze gun. I run to avoid the icebeam and I threw a batarang at the gun so I can disable it. I miss though and Freeze gets only angrier.

NW: "Victor please! I just want to talk!"

MF: "That's what Penguin said too! When I asked politely to be left alone, he threatened my wife! And than his thugs almost blew up this room!"

NW: "You know I'm not like Penguin! You know that!"

MF: "Just leave me alone!"

I try to get away, but I slip. After I stand up, Freeze hits me with his coldgun and I'm stuck to the ground. I hope I can convince him that I can help him.

MF: "Now you will die. So I can just work in peace."

NW: "Victor just hear me out! I can put an end to this war. But I do need your help."

Freeze looks at me and he's thinking.

MF: "Talk. 2 minutes."

NW: "Thanks. You're not a bad person, I know that. You've helped Batman multiple times. I just want you to help me. I need some of those freezegrenades you gave Batman once, so I can take down both sides on the war."

MF: "You can stop this war if I'll give them?"

NW: "Yes."

MF: "And you'll leave me alone?"

NW: "Yes."

MF: "Alright. I'll give you some of my freezegrenades."

NW: "Thanks, Victor. I won't forget this."

MF: "Yeah, yeah. I have a question."

NW: "Sure. What is it?"

MF: "How are you planning to take down Black Mask?"

NW: "What do you mean? His forces are the weakest in the whole city."

MF: "Let me tell you something. Do you know why I chose the mall as my base?"

NW: "No."

MF: "Because it's right in the centre of Gotham. And let me tell you, I'm not only a scientist, but I'm also a good hacker. My point is, I control every securitycamera in the whole city. Also the ones in Black Mask's base. I've heard a conversation between Black Mask and Black Spider, and they are planning to align themselves with the Joker."

NW: "What? Why would he do that? They are archenemies."

MF: "Mask wants to take over Gotham. When he has it, he's taking the Joker out."

NW: "Wow, thanks for the information Victor."

MF: "Anything if you can stop this war."

In the mean time I got my legs free and I obtained the freezegrenades. I'm heading for the exit.

NW: "Ohw and Victor. One last advice."

MF: "And that would be?"

NW: "Turn yourself in Victor. Go to Arkham, where it's safe. There I'll make sure you can find a cure for your wife."

MF: "I'll- I'll think about it..."

NW: "Close enough. I'll see you around Victor."

As soon as I walked out the door I contacted Azrael and Huntress.

NW: "Guys? You there?"

Hntrs: "I hear you."

Azrl: "Me to. You found Freeze?"

NW: "Yeah, he won't be a problem. We got a bigger one though."

Hntrs: "What's up?"

NW: "Freeze has securityfeed from almost every camera in Gotham, also Black Mask's. He saw a conversation between Mask and Spider, and Black Mask is gonna align himself with the Joker."

Azrl: "Holy shit... are we able to take that?"

NW: "We have to strike tonight. At Joker's funhouse."

Hntrs: "We can't do that alone."

NW: "That's why I'm gonna talk to Gordon tonight. We need his help. Just head for the exit so we can go to the Batcave."

As soon as Nightwing walked away from the storageroom though, Freeze realises something. He forgot to tell Nightwing about Deathstroke. Freeze smirks though and he says to himself:

MF: "A little surprise won't hurt..."
