Security was actually pretty quick and non-intrusive.
There were about 30 metal detectors, each staffed with a couple TSA agents and some police.

The last november, we send one of our great technicians to the Offshore and Maritime Training Centre of Taliarte (Las Palmas, Spain) of the Stier Group, for the realization of a security training.
Along 3 days, he received a training in fire fighting, first aid, sea survival, helicopter escape, health & safety and the STCW (Standards of Training Certificaction & Watchkeeping) suite of courses. Succeeding successfully and obtaining the corresponding certificate.
The course is delivered over 21 hours and consisits of theorectical and practical sessions, where the delegates learn about the offshore environment, oil production, varied types of installations and safe systems of work implemented in the offshore environment. the course also allows delegates to use in a simulated environment equipment used in the offshore environment and during helicopter travel to assist in prevention of major accidents and to increase the survival possibilities in the event of a helicopter ditching.
Delegates are assessed against a written assessment and observation by trained assessors and where they meet the required learning outcome are ticked on a tracking form, once they complete all 33 learning outcomes they are awarded a certification by the training centre Stier Group under the awarding body OPITO.

While Russia continues to destabilize Ukraine through ongoing aggression in the Donbas, Ukraine has become the poorest country in Europe and many have left looking for higher wages. What strategies and policies can the new government embrace to lessen human insecurity in Ukraine?
Moderator: Melinda Haring is the editor of the UkraineAlert blog, which is the Atlantic Council’s most popular publication. Haring is a longtime observer of political developments in the Eurasia region, and her analysis has been featured in The Washington Post, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Newsweek, Novoe Vremya, The American Interest, Kyiv Post, PRI, and broadcast and published by NPR, the BBC, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, and Voice of America. She is the author of the report Reforming the Democracy Bureaucracy, coauthor of Ukraine’s Internally Displaced Persons Hold a Key to Peace (Atlantic Council, 2017), and a contributor to Does Democracy Matter? (Rowman & Littlefield, 2017). Haring has worked for Eurasia Foundation, Freedom House, and the National Democratic Institute, where she managed democracy assistance programs in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Russia. A graduate of Georgetown University, she holds an MA in Government with a certificate in Russian, Eurasian, and East European Studies. Haring is the vice chair of the board of East Europe Foundation in Kyiv, Ukraine, and a senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. It was a bit annoying as they stopped the bus after I fell asleep, but it's all for a good cause. As Yunnan borders Burma (Myanmar), Laos and Vietnam, it gets a lot of drugs (opium), so these checks cuts down the flow of drugs into the country. Still though... one of the guys asked me to get out to show my luggage, I heave the monster out from the back of the compartment, wait for a few minutes, then the other guy comes up and tells me I can put it back and go back into the bus. Sigh.
