Wright, command Master Chief of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Shiloh (CG 67), leads Shiloh's crew in a moment of silence for the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011. Shiloh was one of sixteen U.S. Navy ships to participate in Operation Tomodachi, a humanitarian mission focused on aiding the people of Japan in the aftermath of the massive earthquake and tsunami that struck Fukushima Prefecture Mar. 11, 2011. The Department of Homeland Security is developing new draconian methods aimed at profiled and tracking individuals who they deem as enemies of the state.
Uganda: Traders raise their hands as they are ordered by Security members out of Nakivubo Park yard Market in Uganda’s Capital Kampala, 4 December,2013.Fire gutted this market Wednesday morning destroying traders’ merchandise worth millions of shillings.
The mysterious fire which started around 4am destroyed wooden stalls and shops., Clothes,Shoes etc. Some traders who tried to save their goods that were not burnt, failed to be successful because but police shot in the air and used tear gas to disperse them. Many of these traders were seen throwing stones protesting what happened.
About 20,000 traders operate in this market but most of them were serving loans. The merchandise includes clothes, shoes, bags among other items. The latest fire comes barely 8 months after the market was gutted down by another inferno.

Security at this year's Winter Solstice celebrations at Stonehenge was nice and relaxed, but still with a noticable presence (2005).
The last november, we send one of our great technicians to the Offshore and Maritime Training Centre of Taliarte (Las Palmas, Spain) of the Stier Group, for the realization of a security training.
Along 3 days, he received a training in fire fighting, first aid, sea survival, helicopter escape, health & safety and the STCW (Standards of Training Certificaction & Watchkeeping) suite of courses. Succeeding successfully and obtaining the corresponding certificate.
The course is delivered over 21 hours and consisits of theorectical and practical sessions, where the delegates learn about the offshore environment, oil production, varied types of installations and safe systems of work implemented in the offshore environment. the course also allows delegates to use in a simulated environment equipment used in the offshore environment and during helicopter travel to assist in prevention of major accidents and to increase the survival possibilities in the event of a helicopter ditching.
Delegates are assessed against a written assessment and observation by trained assessors and where they meet the required learning outcome are ticked on a tracking form, once they complete all 33 learning outcomes they are awarded a certification by the training centre Stier Group under the awarding body OPITO.
